Okay, so your view is better to award the guy some sort of hit, even if it still leaves open the debate of whether it should be a single, double, etc? I just see it introducing too many instances where the "reversal" is better, but still not very good.

From coffee bean to carbon atom. Pretty cool, though since Teeny Tiny Boyfriend's penis is not included, the comparisons seem somehow incomplete.

They do? I can't ever recall seeing a runner allowed to score on a ground-rule double. I might provide discretion for fan-interference doubles, however. And that's from a fan of a team whose fans are probably best positioned physically and knowledge-wise as to when to pick up (or let go) a ball in play along the stands.

I think you are correct, they are limited to when there is fan interference. The umps never get it right on those discretion calls.

Dude. My mind is totally blown. Grinding up coffee beans is, like . . . murder or something.

But, once again, Jenny McCarthy is shown to be a moron. Because killing the measles virus is, um, like eating a carrot.

Yes. But ask yourself what you would want. You want the hit or you want the chance to go back and try again? Not ideal, but much better than what happened in MN, no?

And really, how often would you be upset about what the batter was awarded? Fans would be pissed off about the blown call, but if the batter was awarded a double on a hit that might have been a triple, how pissed off can you be? All play would have stopped and you simply wouldn't know (except in a really rare case) if the runner would have made it to third.

Penske told me about socks one time, and it all made really perfect sense, but I was totally high. Now I can't remember what he thought was so great about it and, frankly, the whole thing seems a little dumb.

that's true of lots of football calls too.

in this age, with everyone used to the replay booth, there is no way that 5 years from now the World Series get decided on calls that are that bad.

Self-actualization is for the common people. I have people who actualize for me.

2. Maybe if Ironweed puts the bong down, he won't be the only remaining poster who is consistently outwitted by Hank.
