Well okay, but he is a big fucking mess.

During the last debate the guy said the fact that he was up at 3 A.M. mean tweeting about some beauty contest winner proves he is alert at 3 A.M., and the best choice we have for when the hotline rings. Think about that. Put aside the hate for basically every group of people, the imperial attitude and the fact that he feels a right to grab whatever part of whoever he wants to, the crazy mother fucker is awake at 3 AM busting on some poor young woman? It's the mostest clearest sign we don't want him answering the hotline.

I will soon have voted 10 times in my life. After this I'll have voted 5 times for Ds and 5 for Rs. But I only truly voted "for" someone 2, maybe 3, times. Every other time I voted against someone.

This election I will vote for hillary. It will be the most distasteful vote I have ever made, but it is also the clearest choice in my life. There are people who say, "it makes no difference who gets in, R or D." I get that and kind of agree, most elections. Not this election. Go watch The Dead Zone. Everyone who knows Trump is nuts needs to vote Hillary. Hell the best thing for the Rs would be if he loses by 15%. That will send a message Clown time needs to be over.

realclearpolitics says Senate in play, House not so much.

I wouldn't bet my own money either way right now, but if Trump keeps going after the GOP establishment, are Trump voters going to vote for R candidates down-ballot? Are Rs going to turn out and vote like they usually do?

Trump is a bully, and is fighting right now with the Democrats, the media, and the Republican Party. One of those three is weak and unable to defend itself. As it becomes increasingly apparent that he's going to lose, I think he'll have more interested in going after Republicans, both as an excuse for his defeat and to solidify his position after November 8.

A vote for Hillary is obviously best, but I'll even take a vote for Johnson or, ugh, Stein. The GOP needs to understand that Trumpism does not work. The Trumpist need to see how few people stand with them.

The way things are going, he may actually not get more than 35%.

eat: Krugman today:

Clinton's biggest problem with coming across to people is she's just at an incredibly high wonk level. She has enormously detailed thoughts on almost every policy, from Syria to early education to tax policy.

If you want to understand her tax policy, follow Richard Rubin at the WSJ. He is deep into it. But you also might want to look at the many speeches she has given during the campaign focused on a specific area.

I am going to follow your lead on this because Sebastian has really lost it here. Still love ya, Sebby dude, but your argument is kinda demented. Also, the Stones used horns to make some of the best rock of the 70s.

Yes. The incredibly high wonk level. That's what people are unable to relate to her.

I like that someone who loves her is man splaining why others don't like her.

Sebby has pretty much conceded the point. I just like to remind him:

Your hyperbole is becoming a bit too hyperbolic.

You're not worried about violence? Really? Are you sure? Because those are just today's stories.

Indeed.

I'll do a short response - Sebby, where you live, a vote for Johnson is a vote for Trump. If you just want to give the Libertarian Party some numbers, we can vote switch. Trump is going to clean up here, so I'm happy to trade - you vote for HRC, I'll vote for the guy whose staff issues a release condemning sexual assault, but can't spell "women."

Not Bob 10-14-2016 09:25 PM

He don't give a damn about any trumpet-playing band.

Replying only to re-use for the 500 plus time this re line.

Also, apropos of Sebby, I believe that he is the answer to SEC's question re the poster who mentioned crusty Dockers. Probably in conjunction with ill-fitting golf shirts, the soft alcoholism of middle age, and walking to the men's room with a copy of the Wall Street Journal.
