Someone else said this I think, but I'd still be curious to know the answer -- would you consider yourself fortunate or cursed (or somewhere in between) to have a partner who was toward the upper reaches of the Freaky Scale? At what point (if any) would your view morph from "blessed" to "cursed"?

GWNC's Freaky Scale misses alot then - anal sex, threesomes, swinging, public sex, eyeball licking, roadhead, etc.

Plus, for certain segments of society, e.g. high school girls, blowjobs are given way more often than actual sex.

1. Eva Mendes (Wasn't she coked up last year? Did that make her hotter to the voters?)
2. Megan Fox (consensus hot-babe-du-jour/Angelina Jolie (#42?!) wannabe)
3. Marisa Miller (board favorite; perhaps TM's #1?)
4. Keeley Hazell (pneumatic Brit)
5. Anne Hathaway (many of you will now stop reading the rest of the list)
6. Alessandra Ambrosio (Victoria's Secret model)
7. Scarlett Johansson
8. Rhianna
9. Kristen Bell (deserving of a top-10 finish)
10. Kate Beckinsale (So hot she makes Brian Posehn angry (NSFW).)

That Top Ten is fatally flawed because it doesn't contain either January Jones (#98?) or Christina Hendricks (#52) from Mad Men. You can prefer the icy, Hitchcockian blonde charms of January Jones as lavishly photographed in Vanity Fair to the period-accurate pulchritude of Christina Hendricks as a youtube video mashnote, but one of these women has to make the top 5 for the list to be culturally and sexually relevant.

For an off the top of my head top 10, I'd add Sarah Shahi (#85) from Life and The L Word, Cobie Smulders from How I Met Your Mother, and Kaley Cuoco from The Big Bang Theory. She plays a hottie living next door to a couple of physicist/nerds, so you'd think that would hit the AskMen.com demographic in the parent's basement where they live. Keep Megan, Scarlett, Kristen, and Kate and add #12 Emmanuelle Chriqui to my picks for a much-improved list.

There are plenty of pics of Sarah Shahi and Kaley Cuoco, but none of the ones I liked were easily linkable/hotlinkable. Google Search will have to do for you.

I think we need to add Claudia Bassols from "Spain: On The Road Again" in the top ten:

http://www.claudiabassols.com/images...%20Bassols.jpg

Then again, I am a huuuuuuge sucker for Spanish (and French) accents.

I think she's the hottest girl on the planet. Seems really nice/smart too. If you put me in a room with her and Padma from Top Chef, I think I'd pass out.

Absolutely. Smart, funny and down-to-earth. And hot. Mark Bittman and Mario Batali are lucky. Actually, Gwyneth seems to have a decent personality as well.

I think threesomes falls under what Gwink called "charisma." Same for willingness to bust out the whips and chains now and again.

chicken/egg. someone who has gotten mired in the mud to that extent probably would have other issues so she and i wouldn't be likely to end up together.

Thanks for this, Coltrane. Know that your periodic introduction of smokin' hot actresses whom I may not know but should are the fourth-most-important reason I visit this board. The third reason is for the .gif compilations.

The second reason is for grammar Timmys like Justice Roberts, who may have flubbed the oath of office because he is one - http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/22/opinion/22pinker.html .

I would never high-freakiness consider it a curse in and of itself.

However, I have found a correlation between high-freakiness and high-wackiness, and the latter is a curse.

True. And philosophically vexing. Am I taking advantage of someone who was abused (or something) as a child when I enjoy their freakiness?

Agreed. There is probably a limit. But very rarely do I run into that limit as I tend not to frequent places where the Rock of Love types hang out.

I haven't watched it yet but that comment is hardly a spoiler. The two lovebirds (Hosea and Leah?) have been all over each other for several episodes -- and she was visibly jealous in one episode about the attention he was getting from female diners. All the while, they've been noting that they are in relationships back home, blah blah blah.

And then last week they showed a preview that primarily involved the two of them cuddling and stroking each other. It's not the first time Top Chef has been wood-inducing (the first was probably the episode with Padma in a white bikini), but it was the most salacious.

Ew. "wood-inducing" with respect to Hosea and Leah's roving hands? How dare you even refer Padma in the same post as Leah.

I think I touched on this briefly, that people would want corresponding numbers, if not high numbers, for their partner. In my experience, while people pay lip service (npi) to the concept of sexual tolerance, in reality, most people's window for what constitutes frigid and what constitutes freaky tends to center around their own preferences and desires, e.g. if you like sex three times a week, someone who likes it only three times a month is by definition frigid, and someone who likes it three times a day is freaky, Q.E.D.

That brings up what should maybe be a third dimension on the freaky-frigid scale: frequency. In fact, maybe it should be the f-f-f scale. How would you compare woman A who likes a lot of vanilla sex with woman B who wants whips and chains, but only once a month? This is not as theoretical an issue as one might think.

I've tended to assume my partners were more sexually experienced than me at least in terms of number of partners, and I'm fairly sure I was correct, but then again, I've dated women who were tactful enough not to write their sexual history large. I'd feel cursed if my partner was the opposite, much in the same way that I'd feel cursed if my partner didn't want to have sex with me and felt compelled to tell Hank's wife about that fact. Tact goes a long way in protecting a man's fragile ego.
