I've only seen it with close captioning while I've been running on the treadmill. I wasn't really paying attention the first time I saw it and I thought that it was a "this is how lesbians live" sort of docu-drama.

Hey, it's Bravo. I'm surprised they don't have such a show on.

That woman has an amazing body.

I didn't become a psychotherapist (what my selfish mother wanted me to be) because I realized that you have two choices with the patient/client bases: the extremely mentally ill (whom, by coincidence, I now represent) and the run-of-the-mill neurotic. I didn't think I had the guts for the extreme mentally ill population and I thought I'd want to kill the boring neurotics going over the same points endlessly.
A friend of mine quit her practice and went back to get her MBA, because she kept on finding herself wanting to yell "get over it" to her clients. She's an investment banker now.

Bullshit. There is not a man alive who thinks, "well, the rest of her isn't all that, but that hair, wow."

I'm sure I really shouldn't be a psychologist (it was a tongue in cheek comment). If I wanted to do that, I would have become a divorce attorney. But I do enjoy watching people's neuroses from a distance. Does that make me a bad person?

why not turn this all into a positive?

ask him what features you should change to become pretty, or hell, beautiful. then, armed with the list, start pricing cosmetic surgeons. Back when you did the "brand shopping list" posts you seem better received. You could get back to those posts, but with surgery instead of clutch bags.

And in the "how to make your kid neurotic" category, apparently one of the kids in the little league championships introduced himself by sayiing something like "I am my father's dream" (rather than "I am a catcher" or what havae you). This was reported to me by my (unselfish) mother-in-law.

(I wonder if it was the "one fucking run!" kid.)

Nah, you're pretty, so you get a pass. But pack on 60 more pounds and we'll talk.

FWIW, I knew your comment was tongue-in-cheek. I just used it as a jumping-off point, Sebby-style. I thought it was a better direction than recounting all the times people have called ME pretty (or not).

You're batshit crazy. Seriously. I did not go into this thinking I would knock you down a peg. In fact, if you were as hot as you led people to believe, I would have posted as much. I do not care about messing with your head. I was as straightforward as possible. You just don't like the outcome.

Hell, if I wanted to mess with your head, I would have told you that you were very pretty and had nice huge tits and posted the same, all the while telling everyone else what I really thought while they watched you eat post after post up like you do with cookies.

I really wish you would. And I hope whoever gives it to you is honest and doesn't hold back to preserve your feelings, because from your posts today, they'd be doing you a tremendous disservice.

Remember when you asked me what I was going to post and I said, "You'll have to read it, but I said I would be honest?" If I thought you were at all good looking, don't you think I would have told you then and there?

And you know what's funny? After this and all the other posts, I'm still not being mean.

I think you're mistaking that with analyzing objectively. you're not my type either at all. not that you weren't nice or intelligent...you are.
Okay. I give up. You are pretty.

P.S. There was nothing inherently mean about his assessment of you. You wanted honest, he gave you his honest opinion. Plus, if you've spent any amount of time on these boards, he could have been a lot less "nice" in his assessment than he was.

I give you points for putting yourself out there. Now please, shut the fuck up about it already.

I am sure there's somebody out there who finds you cute, or pretty, or "interesting-looking," or whatever, it just isn't him. It appears you've already found that person -- the guy you married, but like my grandmother always said, there's a lid for every pot. So really, what do you care?

I find you a tedious pain-in-the-ass. You could look like Heidi Klum, and if your board persona is any indication of how you really are, I would get tired of hanging around you.
I would do Heidi Klum. If that's what we're talking about . . .
