porn leads to self-abuse. is that okay because it's "self" or not okay because it's "abuse?"

By pro-prostitution, I mean pro-legalization. I think a lot of the things that you identify as incidental to prostitution result from, or at least are made easier by, the illegality. Not all, certainly, but a lot. By the same token, I am pro-legalization of marijuana, but that doesn't mean I support the gang violence that seems incidental to that industry -- and that, again, I think stems largely from its illegality.

As for polygamy, to the extent it means having a legal marriage to more than one person, I'm against it. I don't see the benefits, and I see lots of downsides, and I do think that some of the abuse that is part and parcel with that does not stem from its mere illegality. (I note here that I firmly believe in separating the religious concept of marriage from the legal construct of it. I suppose this means that the Mormons can "marry" one man to multiple women, even though they won't be legally "married" -- and I think that may be a fundamental problem in my view that the separation would be good. Not sure how to reconcile that.)

Not to mention the new Waffle-House definition for "Buick Invitational."

Based on this one, you should have titled the thread "Hey, Teacher, Leave Those Kids Alone". It could be enough to prod Roger Waters out of retirement even.

Helpful.

Physician, heal thyself.

If this were the first time that you expressed your difference of opinion in a hostile and sarcastic way (are you actually reduced to name calling when you're called on your vitriol?!?), you might have a point. As it is, not so much.

What's your favorite flavor of crunchy feet or regular cupcakes? I have the CakeLove cookbook and haven't baked any of them yet.

Your SO doesn't know pleather. I drove a 2005 MDX for a few weeks this year and loved it (though Coltrane's right - fucking pig on gas). I found it perfectly appointed and an excellent ride, even with 50k miles on it.

My mom got a Q7 two months ago and I've taken it out for drives. If overpriced pleather's what you want, and flimsy, cheaper-than-Audi-should-be-offering doors are your thing, have at it. Three thumbs down.

And its ugly. The nose on the thing looks like someone put an A4 on roids. Unimaginative to say the least.

ETA: And it has no cargo space at all.

It's what CakeLove bakery calls mini bundt cakes baked in mini brioche pans. They're like a bundt cake cupcake.

I don't know. I tried the Irish Cream the other day, and that was really good. So was the toffee flavor.

Cupcakes, that is, not crunchy feet.
