Kashmir.
I was always sort of confused that they played Kashmir in that scene as opposed to one of the songs from Led Zeppelin IV (e.g., Misty Mountain Hop). Of course now that I'm wiser I realize that Ratner was not yet ready to make-out, hence he was not playing IV in the tapedeck.

Also, I always thought it was side one, not two. A google search finds quotes that use either of them. My own preference would be side two.

While I'm not above paying an obscene amount of money for a purse, it is my opinion, and I think the board will agree with me on this, that they're over priced for what they are.
I have 6 (a startling realization that my purse fetish is almost matching my shoe fetish)- half knock-offs - for reasons stated by PJ - they blend well. And I love visiting the knock-off carts in G-Town.
Agree that anything LV is ugly. (Chanel logo-print bags also awful)

Side 1 is cooler and more well known (Black Dog, Rock & Roll, Stairway, etc.), at least for us guitarists, but not as hip and trendy as Side 2

It was done by a Japanese designer and all the LV stores sold out of them. How do I know this? My sister wanted one and wouldn't stop talking about them before they come out and just recently stopped whining about the fact that she didn't get one.

I always thought it was side 2, and I've obviously seen it many times. I will break out the DVD tonight and investigate...

Hearing about power problems in NYC and other places on the news, anybody else hearing something??

Yes, but when someday you use that rock to justify purchasing the Hugely Expensive Wide Screen TV/Surround Sound System of the Gods (or she buys it for you for your birthday) it will all have been worth it.

Come to think of it, as a major remote control hog, I'd like one of those too. I'd better get shopping for a nice gift for the Mr.

From Boston.com:

BREAKING NEWS: A major power outage has hit much of New York City as well as parts of Long Island, Connecticut and the cities of Albany, Cleveland, and Detroit, as well as Toronto and Ottawa in Canada. In Manhattan, thousands of people are trapped in elevators and on trains, and thousands more are pouring out of office buildings onto the street.

I think that's one of the nuances that makes the movie so good. Not only does Rat show up in a station wagon and forget his wallet at home at the restaurant, he also plays the wrong (according to DaMone) make-out music...

I recently heard the best story about how to deal with the big screen tv issue. My brother in law's father wanted a big screen tv. He went to the store to buy one. His wife didn't argue, she accompanied him to the store and simply walked over to the best dish washer she could find, and said, I'll take that one. Dad's mouth popped open for a moment and then, wisely, he said, yes dear.

As it turns out they got a huge discount on the dish washer for buying the tv at the same time.

Do you know me? God, your last comment freaked me out because I've been wanting to buy an HDTV for years and the wife won't let me because she says they're "offensive" to look at (she makes me keep my current TVs inside armoires). She HATES everything electronic and says my surround sound system is "invasive" because it sounds like whatever you're watching is in the room with you.

Still, no matter how nice the sound system is, it ain't going to cost as much as that silly ring. Hell, I'd feel better if bought her a watch that cost as much as the ring. That would be a grotesque waste of dough, but at least the product would have a function of some sort.

S(Now I will admit that giving her the ring was so much fun that I don't really regret paying for it at all, but I'm speaking from a strictly logical perspective here)D

NYT is saying the same thing "Power Outages Reported Along East Coast; North to Toronto, South to Maryland and West to Cleveland and Detroit (4:32 PM ET)"

If I put "spa vacation" in for "dishwasher" I like this story. Unless they had NO dishwasher because doing dishes by hand sucks bigtime.

MSNBC has a live feed on their site reporting on it now.

They are saying it is states in the general area, but DE is ok as is DC.

You obviously married the wrong woman. I'm with PJ, I'm a total remote hog and not only do I HAVE to have a big screen to watch the Mariners on, it HAS to be of extremely high quality. I hate dot crawl, color bleeding, color impurities etc. on my televisions. No cheap crap for me. And the newer televisions are quite attractive. The new Sony plasmas have a lucite frame and silver base that look good with all but the most traditional of furnitures. Of course if you have traditional furniture, then just stick with the RCA console.

Edited to add that the new Pioneer Elite's have a very attractive black lacquer frame. Panasonic has a nice silver finish for that in-between look.
