I was also unaware of that longtanding tradition but, for what it is worth, I do not anticipate that acquiring knowledge of the tradition is going to alter my posting style or habits at all.

Except in this post, in which I reference the tradition, which is something I would not have been able to do prior to acquiring knowledge of it.

I used to think the only sub rosa activities on this board were PLF and paigow gossiping by IM, and Slave occasionally nailing another poster. Both of which would eventually, by force of ego, become conventional knowledge. The fact that I had to hear about this on Facebook of all places is the ultimate rudeness. Which is like Ultimate Frisbee but with better hair.

Also, and keep this on the dl...dl, all socks that cannot, beyond a reasonable doubt, be attributed to a real life lawyer or para-lawyer person, were secondary, or in some cases tertiary, socks of mine. Penske. To the extent that I (the irl person typing this post, assuming I am not a yahoospyder) am the successor in interest to the Penskesock brand.

Further, Slave never nailed me nor any of the aforementioned socks (although I think he has hand grazed my upper thigh in a cab in Brooklyn once) that can now be attributed to me (or the Penskesock brand, in a broader sense) although he has, on occassion, by the by, (over) shared some TMI related to his comic sexcapscades, complete with fully clothed reenactments of certain segments, some of which remain indelibly scarred on to my mind's eye.

Finally, I believe that Penske was the 17th poster on the original Yahoo GA Board, but, typically, it was under a sockonymn that shall remain unmentioned for today.

Hopefully that clarifies some of the heretofore unspoken mysteries of the Board.

It is also the truth that I, the irl person typing this post, dined al fresco with Penske, the then-irl person typing the then-posts under the Penske brand at said time. I don't believe that this secret tete-a-tete rendez-vous menage-a-deux has yet been shared with hoi polloi of the board, but in the interest of airing the great mysteries of GA past and present and in an attempt to achieve transparency in a sunlight-is-the-best-disinfectant sort of way, let it be widely known, albeit in a dl, dl sort of way.

The fact that I had to learn about it by reading GWNC's response to your post in which you first announced that you had learned about it on Facebook is, as I am sure you can imagine, quite a slap in the face and other sensitive areas. If it were not for force of ego, I don't know how I would still be carrying on. But carry on I do, which is not easy, although the unsolicited NST sympathy fellatio has been taking the edge off.
