Crispy pork on a "bread" that reminds me of that Ethiopian wrap/bread. Really tasty.

I was calling you a simple tourist- Jumbo floating restaurant, which everyone goes to the first time there. Bad joke. Never mind.

There are other hallmarks of woo-woo, but basically right. Very few have no woo, but too much woo and it's like, "Whew."

Sidd was calling me out on lumping Eastern medicine devotees with other, presumably bad woo-woo (like vaccine objectors? cell phone radiation nuts? We all draw our lines somewhere, and beyond that line is the Land of Woo), but keep in mind that motherfucker thinks he's seen a ghost.

(Before you blow up again, Sidd, I kid because I love.)

Wouldn't have passed one of those up.

Ah, yes. Saw it in the guide. I'm not that excited about being seasick at lunch or dinner.

I think what he's describing is the same basic thing as a bossam (sp?). They are like the dough used in soup dumplings, pressed into a sheet and wrapping contents in them in the style of a taco or a gyro.

No, sounds like you've been to EPCOT? The adults are talking about the actual China.

And they have all different types of flavors, including a fancy truffle type, which was very good, but not as good as the traditional variety.

Yeah, we have Din Tai Fung in LA. That is where I went in Shanghai. Generally they are less exciting to me than they would be if I ate meat (other than seafood). But people do rave about the meat-filled ones...

Ah, monopoly.

(I did not say that)

I know where you can find a purported Texas-style BBQ in Shanghai, that smells great but at which we did not eat because their Christmas turkey dinner was not available on Christmas Eve.

Seemed to be the place to go for beer and college football, though.

Surprised "knock over a 7-Eleven" made it into the fugitive terrorist playbook.

Maybe not after this tweet:

Folks - please stop tweeting updates from BostonPD scanners. They've requested that info not go wide. Debate l8r if overreaction; do it now.

More surprised than "run over your brother during the get away" is in there?
