My SO loathes Telegraph Avenue, not because it's squalid or grungy, but because she thinks all of its denizens are suburban kids from Orinda there to act out.

I lost faith in the Telegraph scene when Pink Man went to L.A. to get "discovered." Fuckin' sellout.

My sister (remember her, she's the bohemian chick whose clothes went up in a ball of fire on Highway One last September?) went to Stanford, rebelled, and has been dating a guy who worked at Ameoba on Telegraph. She's been distraught all week because he recently dumped her, but I secretly think that she's really upset about the cut off of really really cheap used CDs.

According to the Onion, he's already dating a new chick.

One that may work is that there is a "view printable version" option on this board. If you have a fairly good friend that could e-mail that page to you every couple of hours, you'd be at least caught up as to the goings on here. If it's a fairly overly nice friend, you could create a "Alex de Large captured" sock, or something and have them post your witty replies under that sock.

Texas must not be tough on vanity plates. One of my friends used to have (a long time ago) vanity plates that read "X QUEEN". She was not a pagent girl... She has owned a camaro before though.
