I realized that it was an analogy. I was joking.

I always go with everything. A lot of people stop at mustard and onions. There are also those heretics who believe that a cucumber slice is also part of the "Meal on a Bun," but as I noted, such persons are heretics and should be grilled and served with mayo.

Sorry to double-post, but I did want to add that a polish sausage, with mustard, grilled onions, and sport peppers is another local favorite, the "Maxwell Street" polish.

I think he might have been the driver of the carjacked Mercedes SUV. I had heard that he, er, went through some rough moments when they found him. I also imagine he has a lot to tell the authorities.

Everything I've seen about the kid still out there has been shock that he's the one they're looking for. He seemed to be social, well liked, and respected. Wonder what the fuck happened to him to make him do this. The first thing I thought when I saw the videos yesterday was "wow, they're so young." And then "they look like the fucking douchebags that go out to my husband's and hundreds of other clubs all over the country." A friend of mine dubs the type as reeking of silicone and credit card debt. Annoying, but relatively harmless if you're not driving at 2 in the morning on a weekend.

This has been a fucked up fucked up week. I recommend hanging out with a 12 week old puppy if you have the opportunity. Definite stress reliever.

I believe the driver of the Mercedes got left at a gas station on Memorial Drive in Cambridge, and then called the police to tell them what had happened, and that they used his car's Lojack (or equivalent) to catch up with the brothers in Watertown.

I think the guy who had to strip made the mistake of driving his Camaro into the wrong place at the wrong time.

This map is consistent with what I was seeing last night:

When the MIT cop was shot, I was pretty sure it had to do with the bombing, and so I kept following the story, because who would shoot an MIT cop? I still don't understand why they shot that cop.

That is helpful, thanks. There are a lot of things about this whole mess that make little sense. My guess is that the brains behind the operation is the dead one.

A friend in Boston tells me that they didn't actually rob the convenience store. In a continuance of "this is the most fucked up week ever, even for terrorist assholes," they just happened to have been in it when the store was being robbed, and that's when the MIT officer got involved. I imagine they were IDed, panicked, and started shooting.

I've seen recent tweets saying that the convenience store robbery was not related.

Just because this whole thing has been wierd, last night when I heard about the shot police officer, I was waiting for someone to announce that an unlocked closet at MIT was pivitol to the investigation.

I was in class this morning. In gratuate school, the likelihood of knowing someone in the area under lockdown this morning is very high. I saw more laptops open to twitter and the like than usual.

Granted, usually, there are quite a number of laptops open to twitter and the like.

to tie it back into threads here, once we can make jokes about it, I'll speculate it was event specific because these two athletic kids could not qualify to run Boston.

.

I don't think there are many brains behind this one. Shoot a cop *before* carjacking? Throw a pressure cooker loaded with explosives at the cops?

He was a part of a bigger fucking muslim sleeper cell trained by the big boys. I don't understand why people find this so hard to believe and refuse to admit I am right. Mohammed Atta had friends. It's part of the deep cover.

The older brother was so oustandingly deep he was questioned by the FBI two years ago at the request of a foreign country and released.

Widely reported now. Questioned at the request of a foreign government. That has to mean Russia, which likely thought he was connected to Chechen rebels.

Obviously, that's all guessing.
