Obviously, this is old, but: Trump is a hole, and it makes me sad to see all the poor people gambling there. I like Harrah's a lot. It's a nice mid-market chain; the one in East Chicago is good, and they have automatic shufflers everywhere. I've never been to their Horseshoe in Hammond, and I haven't heard much. You shoudn't have too much concern about safety at either Trump or Harrah's, but maybe be more concerned at Trump. If you are really playing with serious coin or really cash out big, they will escort you to your car if you ask, and the valet is pretty cheap at both. I think it's like $3 at Trump, but, again, that place is a hole.

I will tell you right now that I will be in every hand, even if I only receive one card. Your jedi mind tricks simply will not work against me because I am too stupid to be afraid.

Anyway, we used to play at truepoker.com, pokerroom.com, and now there are a bunch of other places we could play too. Sunday nights used to work well with everyone.

Who is in?
I would love to play, but as I am learning (practically a true newber).* I don't want to get all aggressive with real money, of which I will most likely lose a lot, and I think it is important to not only get a hang of the play, but the betting as well.

All y'all confuse me enough already with all of your crazy lingo.

*Note: If this slows you down or fucks up your gameplay by having a true novice playing, I won't play. I'll leave that up to whomever? is going to play.

We're not playing with real money Spooky, though it would really help get some more realistic gameplay. In the real world, most players are folding a lot before the flop. Kind of boring, actually.

Anyway, I only play so I can pretend I have imaginary friends. So please play.

Ditto that. I had to clean all the old software from my computer.

I will do it if we do it late enough Sunday night, like after 9 CST.

My vote is for Sunday, 3/20. Anytime is good for me. I like truepoker.com, but if others have another suggestion, put it out there. Assuming I can get the alternate program to load, I'm in. Only known problem with truepoker is that it used to have Mac compatibility problems, so if we can find one that works with both Mac and PC, that would be ideal (if there are any players who would like ot use a Mac).

It is now 3/20, and I've seen no details.

mmm3587 03-20-2005 10:09 AM

I can't tonight.

Mister_Ruysbroeck 03-20-2005 11:36 AM

I can. And I'm still a supporter of pokerroom.com, but I'll do whatever.

I am a maybe this week. Sorry no details posted earlier. Didn't realize it was all on me. If people want to throw a time/place out there, I'll do my best to show. Depends on whether I'm hooked into watching b'ball out somewhere or not...

I didn't mean to imply that it was all on you. I've been to two sites. Pokerroom and Holdempoker. com. They both seem pretty much the same, and I am amenable to either one.

I can probably be on after 9 PM Eastern if anyone wants to play, although I'm guessing, because of what I anticipate is a West Coast bias of the players, I won't play as late as some others might.
