They dissect your stomach and make it so that it holds about 3 ounces of food. It slowly grows back to it's normal size, I believe, but by the time that happens, the person has already lost half their body weight and adopted new eating habits. Her friend did this about 2 months ago and has lost almost 100 pounds. |
100 pounds in 2 months? Damn. Does she have excess skin issues?

Colin Firth Fan Club???
Who knew there were so many other fashionistas who drool over Mr. Darcy and his alter ego, Colin Firth??? I thought I was the only GA to have him on a laminated list.
I will confess to having purchased the DVD of Pride & Prejudice before I even had a DVD player (I already had tapes from A&E viewings). |

Speaking of plastic surgery . . .
My mother-in-law had a tummy tuck a couple of months ago. I think she dropped two dress sizes immediately (from a 12 to an 8). One of her sisters had the same procedure last year.
I was surprised by how long the recuperation is -- 8 weeks of laying around and up to a year for full recovery. I don't understand why someone would go through this. Do other plastic surgery operations take as long to recover? (Aside from lipo, obviously.) |

Another reason to want to be Elizabeth Bennet in that adaptation: when she tells off the evil old Aunt. I now have three Colins on my lam list -- Firth, Farrell, and a non-famous one from college. |
FB Book Club
I recommend this book:
http://lookinside-images.amazon.com/...QJhaOzJrt/Mzg= The author grew up in Togo. He read a book about Greenland, and decided he had to go there. It took him something like six years of working across different countries, but he finally made it. Most of the book is about the year (or so) (in the 1960s) he was there. And to make it topical, you can pretend his first name is TITS! |

Bathrobes...
Can anyone reccomend a nice, reasonably priced (less than $100, less than $150?) terry cloth bathrobe. I'm always close to buying the ones that nicer hotels have, but I figured I should ask here first.

1. Spirited Away 2. Le Cercle Rouge (re-release) 3. Apollo 13: The IMAX Experience 4. Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 5. Talk to Her 6. Quai des Orfèvres (re-release) 7. Russian Ark 8. Far from Heaven 9. Ten 10. The Lion King Note that the Ten movie is some film from Iran, not the Dudley Moore-Bo Derek vehicle. These are also mostly art films, which might not be your thing. If you're looking for a video, I'd pick Desperado or Femme Fatale. I might be going to Coachella. I actually have 4 passes for both days, but I might unload them. Jack Manfred |

FYI: Don't see The Core. Good effects. Bad dialogue. No objectification.
w/r/t: "6. Quai des Orfèvres (re-release)", does that translate to "Why the Ovaries (re-release)?" |

and speaking of hot, I thought Brenda's brother was one of the sexiest things going. I hope they bring him back. what was his real name? Jeremy someting italian? As for AI, I saw the last few minutes of Carmen doing her super shitty karaoke act and Trenyce singing again. Oops, looks like crime doesnt pay, Trenyce. You are safe for another week. At least Americans have a notoriously short attention span. Here's to hoping that Clay got arrested jerking off in a men's room or something to take the heat off. I am hoping someone else posts the other person in the bottom three. |
