And to the extent that you get in a player's way, that's absolutely good defense. But at least 70% of charges called occur when a defensive player slips into the path of an offensive player who is already (i) in his two-step move to the basket or (ii) in the air!

this is a prblem with the NBA rule. In those situations in college the foul is a block instead of a charge.

I had to think about that Venn diagram to get it -- no one in my family ever says "[bad thing someone did] makes the baby Jesus cry."

Until I read this post, I didn't get it either.

My stepdaughter has taken to saying, "Now that I'm Jewish..." I don't quite have the heart to tell her it doesn't exactly work that way.

She told me she would stop eating pig after she ate the "Lunchables" (that is such a NASTY collection of food-like-substances) with pepperoni pizza.

Not really. Unless taking care of four kids is a job.

So... no.

I'm trying to think of something good that I can do next - but it's just not manifesting itself despite my ceaseless and importuning beckoning.

No job means very bitter very soon. Sorry. Do you have a craig's list account yet?

I've still got about 12 to go. It's so discouraging. However, I am old.

I did not recently (or ever) have a baby, but I have pretty radically changed my diet and exercise regimen for the last couple of months and I'm not losing the 10-15 pounds I'd like to lose either. It is repositioning itself on my body, which is good, but I'd really like some of it to come off altogether. This getting old thing is totally for the birds.

No. It's the same rule in both college and the pros. The problem is, the refs don't know what is a block and what is a charge.

Since taking a hiatus, I as well radically changed diet, changed up some bad foods subbed in good ones and religiously ran and joined the gym for elliptical. Since my last child I lost 55 pounds. and dyed my hair. back in a size medium which is frightening. there was nothing medium abou me prior.

That is the remainder essential give or take 4 pounds of all the baby weight I ever gained. and I am in law school p/time. at a recent charity event someone who met me 2 years ago didn't recognize me at all.

I really credit small portions and if you have some whole grains, farro and quinoa are good. but things like soups or cucumber salad and yogurt and greek yogurt are excellent w/o tons of caloric content. I like soups but *shrug* summer is here.

outdoor running is next doing a 5K

I think pilates is great but do not have the time. if you are a fan that and yoga are good. my goals remain to be back in a bikini by next summer. I now look less scary in a 1 piece. my kid takes viola and I would like to resume piano. after running and finishing law school....

as for the elliptical; way important to sculpt moreso than running. I know I was a lot less happy with the extra weight my knees my back. even my chest bra. but yeah Hank called it --I was generally bitter and miserable and nasty.**

**adder is a firecrotch? who KNEW MAN. the toupee adds a porn star aspect to it. gah. throw in gold chains and chest hair.

### lou malnatti's is better, non? I did go off the rails, in boston with Fig's pizza, fig and prosciutto pizza. mmm
