Oh my, another thing to prepare for if I do climb Everest next season. I have to make sure my guides are one that actually are helpful. Anyone know if Angie's list has a Katmandu version?

When I first heard that Mayor Bloomberg is looking for cheerleaders for a particular kind of high-calorie beverage, I says to myself, I says, "Self, you know* a guy** who would be PERFECT for this job."

*Sort of.

**Maybe.

My old Kindle has never crashed and I've never broken it. I did have to replace the power cord at some point because it was coming apart. And I now have a little scratch on the screen (it looks like a smudge, on the page that doesn't go away). But it's been going strong otherwise for at least 5 years...

I saw babies peeing on the sidewalk in Beijing, but I don't think it was a hipster thing.

Did you just call me Coltrane? 04-30-2013 10:37 AM

I swear it wasn't porno...

So on my flight last night I was watching an episode of The Americans. It's on FX so I wasn't concerned with nudity.

Nevertheless, the flight attendant handed me my drink right when Keri Russell was getting plowed doggy style by her KGB husband (no nudity though). She saw the video and gave a little giggle. I didn't even try to explain.

I'll work with you if you promise to listen. Like I posted a potty post, but it was tasteful. Remember I was the one who could tastefully post about removing a scrotal skin tag. It's all in the delivery.

Scrotal skin tag... The words alone are glorious poetry.

Scissors or box cutter?
