They had that guy in NY? We had him in Harrisburg last year. I told him he had a sick mind and laughed at him. He yelled at me. It was classic.

One of the cops told him to cut it out or he would arrest him for being indecent or something like that. He came back this year but without the cords.

Uh, no.

There are different types of fats. Unsaturated, saturated, and trans-fats. And you better learn that you don't want the saturated fats from animals, but the unsaturated fats from things like olive oil. You can google for more, because, honestly, I like all of god's fats, and won't disparage what he has made.

I'm half-Mexican and from a long line of ranchers. It's something I grew up with, and in recent months studies have shown that it's not any worse than most of the other shortenings that people use. It's an ingredient made from an animal that is used to cook with, not some social comment.

OH FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST. I mostly compared it to butter, which is mainly saturated fat just like lard is. And paigow was grossed out by it being "fat," not by its effect on her circulatory system.

If I had wanted to do a little lecture on the varying effects of monounsaturated fats, polyunsaturated fats, saturated fats and transfats on HDL and LDL cholesterol, perhaps with a detour into the whole issue of how the vast majority of molecules occurring naturally are "cis," but artificially-created molecules are frequently "trans," with perhaps an additional detour into a musing on whether the fact that our bodies likely aren't (in the long historical view) accustomed to trans fats is why transfats cause our body to do bad things, I would have done so.

My analogy is simple. I may or may not wear fur. I may or may not think abortions are okay. But, either way, I don't think its my or anybody else's fucking call whether you wear fur or get abortions. It's a choice thing, and I think you're free to make one. (It's currently 86 degrees here, so I am not currently wearing fur, if you really want to know).

I sympathize on the chocolate craving thing. But I think Raisenettes are kind of gross so I don't eat them. I don't even think of them as chocolate. More as stuff I only see in movie theaters.

I stayed mostly out of the childbirth discussions because I had a c-section, which actually means I did it like they did it in the 40's except that I was awake...I experienced nothing gross at all and remained perfectly coiffed throughout. (I've got video and still photography if you want proof....nevermind)

15 years ago, I was snorting a lot of coke, and probably keeping you up by chattering away, while you dozed off after smoking too much pot...
