Therefore, I am less disheartened by this news than you are, even if it turns out in this case (as I'm sure is the case), that the FOAF is a rich person with a graduate degree who just lacked the common sense to figure out that a half marathon is actually half of a full marathon.

Thanks for playing, but I was actually more horrified to learn that people claiming high school diplomas had somehow missed that the approximate distance from Marathon to Athens is 26 miles. You're telling me there's a foot race of that distance? Do those who complete it die, like brave Pheidippides?

However long those are.

Probably love

I always thought the phrase agree "possibly maybe" in the bjork song was "probably not" but now some lyric site is saying it's "probably love." Opinions?

I've seen 13.1 stickers. Seriously?

I'm think about getting a 5k sticker. Or a 3k Walk sticker.

they are each impressive in their own right depending upon where em is starting from, like a big fat person doing a 5K is something. Do you think adder should take down his florida coastal diploma, like only people from the U should display diplomas?

Speaking of which, my brother recently found my diploma from the U (different U than you mean, but that's your problem) in my parent's storage space. Didn't know they had it.

The latter. I tell people here who proudly display their Pacific Coast School of Law sheepskin next to the LLM in Food Law from University of Arkansas and the Undergrad Degree from Devry that I wouldn't put up my top 30 degree unless it was from Harvard.

Like Ricky Bobby said, "If you're not first, you're last."

I'm wondering if I can sport my End of the Block sticker now? Too soon?

I this like in the 50s when Jewish lawyers and doctors drove Buicks because Cadillacs were too showy?

Quite frankly, if at this stage of your career if you still believe where you went to school makes a difference, I can't help you.

Of course it makes a difference. Each year, my school expects a five figure annual contribution, and every couple of years I have to have lunch with some muckity-mucks there who are trying to figure out what they have to do to get the big money someday. Hank, on the other hand, went to a one of those state schools that are just glad he buys a few football tickets and otherwise don't really bother him.

It matters where you go to school.
