I would like to retract my retraction, we did tie the Rangers (in an outstanding game, I must say).
I didn't see any of it.

But ZERO-ZERO tie??? Sheesh.

Heads are going to roll this weekend at MSG. Expect waivers and a ton of promotion from Hartford.

Edited to add: once it gets to marriage stuff, you have to talk about the relationship. Recommend strongly couples counseling. It's not up to you and the boyfriend to be their therapists or to get in the middle, but you have to make a stand to prevent further unhappiness.
I had this situation with my sister. She and her boyfriend, then fiance, were always having these long "discussions" and fights that would result in days of silent treatment, etc. I couldn't believe she would even consider marrying someone with whom she had such a tumultuous relationship.

So, I talked to her at great length. She kept saying over and over again how she felt like she was "supposed" to marry him. And then, because my sister lacks emotional maturity, she went and shared her version of our conversation with him. Then she had the nerve to tell me that he was really hurt by what she said I said and I should apologize to him. Like hell, I said. No way I am going to be responsible for your version of our conversation.

Anyway, she did marry the guy, we've managed to keep it civil, and there are still plenty of things that bug me about the way he treats her. I'm not sure I would have done things differently, though perhaps I could have predicted, based on experience with my sister, that she would tell him. But I felt like it was my responsibility to look out for her (if I were HIS sister, I probably would have been warning him off her!).

Oh how darling, hubby has a 1.5 mill house built in the Hamptons. In typical yuppie scumdom manner he called contractors, made the life and death decision to "paint the walls white" and wrote the checks. Wow, a regular Time Man of the Year.

Then they cooked dinner together. Chicken and cashews. Fucking amazing.

I nuked some Pizza Hut, then I changed the toilet paper roll last night in my bathroom so everyone else in my house could take a dump. I don't see them writing about that shit.

But then we are treated to such genius as:

"but Dr. Dean, whose pressed tan slacks, black polo shirt and gold watch are more Donny Osmond than Marcus Welby, M.D., said he took his lonely duties in stride. His wife first saw the place when it was finished on Memorial Day weekend. Since then, they have used it every week, except when Dr. Ho was away on business. "I am very pleased with the way the house turned out," she said, in a telephone message."

Forget it. Bring back Jayson Blair. Maybe he could drum up a threesome, murder or some venereal disease in that story.

"but Dr. Dean, whose pressed tan slacks, black polo shirt and gold watch were stained with bloody pus from gonnorhea dripping from his penis, are more emasculated Donny Osmond than Marcus Welby, M.D., said he took his lonely duties in stride. His wife first saw the place when it was finished on Memorial Day weekend. She surprised him as at the time, he was fucking the housekeeper in the ass. Since then, they have used it for swinger orgies every week, except when Dr. Ho was away on business. "I mo ki dat mofo," she said, in a telephone message."
My vote for POTY

Oh, I get it.
You've chased everyone else out of your life with your venom and now you're lonely.
You made that bed lizard now sleep in it.
Find some other dog to kick.

Gwyneth. Hate her and her self importance. She reminds me of Atticus if he was a well connected okay actress who could do an english accent. Why did they cast her to play Sylvia Plath in a movie that could have been interesting? Now I dont want to tsee it. Maybe I wont go to see it with barely's new boyfriend

It was a hard fought zero-zero tie -- both teams played well, especially the net men. There were many games on last night -- NHL Center Ice, baby. Oh, you mean, oh, that game.... yeah, I checked it during intermissions and breaks.

And to think I've been foolishly tossing out my old lingerie for years, when I could've been giving everyone a play-by-play of my rack wraps by propping them rakishly over a light bulb...

Dammit!
