Actually, I'm a lot calmer now that I'm older. The nice thing about your thirties is you've still got the physical health to play a pick up game of anything and party like a rock star, but you're a little wiser and things don't quite bother you as much. You're not a seasoned veteran of life by any means, but you're comfortable with the ropes. There's a comfort in that. The confidence that comes with approaching the mid thirties is nice. I think its a sort of a prime of life. I can't imagine just how great it would be if I was lucky enough to do something I liked. That really must be an amazing feeling... but hey, not too many of us bat 1000.

Also I can't believe that guy is only 83. Doesn't he seem about 100? Think it has anything to do with the shooting (well, other than the fact that they had to take a yard of his intestine out, I mean)? Is it possible for a Pope to retire or is that never done?

And has Mother Teresa been sainted already? I thought a person had to be dead for like 14 years or something, but I read in the cnn story on the Pope that he is missing a service for Saint Teresa of Calcutta. Her?

How did the perky blonde lady with the bad perm and bad dye job get that gig and all the other kitchen gigs, by the way? Is it because she's unfailingly chipper and blandly not unattractive, so she doesn't intimidate the women in the audience?

I'll also note that the hosts on the shopping channels are creepy, particularly the women, with their wide-eyed wonder over all of the shit that they're hawking.

I have to put Blasedow over Tony bc first off, I have to look at his near naked ethiopian meets tori spelling body throughout the commercial (he seems to think he is hot for some reason). Also, I saw Robbins in a movie (Shallow Hal?) where he made himself seem more normal. But yeah, in his informercials, freak.

He's like Bobby Bowden. Senile as hell, but all the assistants prop him up so he can hold on for the record. I think the Pope is second on the all time Mass list, behind Pius XVIII.
