Well, almost a full two countries care about their women's soccer teams.

Can't they skip all of this World Cup nonsense and just have the U.S. play China in a 7-game series?
What?! Sacrilege! Especially after Brazil upsets Norway and the Chinese win yesterday on a late goal. But I guess we could skip the baseball season and have the Yankees play the Braves every fall.

The US Nigeria match tonight should be brutal. Nigeria plays a VERY physical style and a bunkering defense so it's going to be a battle. I need a Tivo (or a quick lessson on how to program my VCR). I can't watch the game because I'm playing in another one tonight.

Dude, SI is not USAToday. The articles are too long? It's journalism.

But I agree about the pictures. Even the swimsuit edition is lame.

The fundamental problem, though, is that you've seen and heard everything about a given event by the night it happens or on SportsCenter the next morning. SI doesn't get there until Thursday -- so dated.

And, to keep my post count down, do you think the Bachelor could spring for some new music and lines after four shows? Good lord, it's like someone's getting paid for each time he can say, "who goes home broken-hearted." Now, sure, ABC may be on the hitch for $5m to repair the house, but it's not like they have to pay the amazing bachelorette who says no to Bob a million.

This reminds me of the greatest TV fashion moment of all time: Carol Burnett as Scarlett O-Hara flouncing in in her dress made of green velvet curtains--with the long curtain rod still sticking out of the shoulders.

Out of respect for a beloved board curmudgeon, I hereby retract my earlier post.

You're right, you do need more cool people there, so I will stop poaching.

If you and leagl and Anne move to Colorado, California, New Mexico, Arizona -- oh hell, anyplace that isn't the midwest or cold, then I will gladly relocate and be the 4th at bridge. But no cunnilingus. I will have to be a political lesbian. In fact, I think I already am.

Even if you invite Slave, the no cunnilungus rule still applies.

Fill in my FB history: who was originally responsible for this phrase and the ensuing irritation?

And as I don't watch SportsCenter or whatever the show is from which "The Whiff" springs, or any sports show, for that matter, TM, could you tell me what "The Whiff" means on the show?

Again, an Onion piece that I read and find myself forgetting that this is supposed to be satire.
