*GROAN* Chicago 4 Indians 3 One game left. One game behind the Red Sox in the Wild Card chase. I will be rooting for the Yankees tomorrow. The motherfucking New York Yankees. I think I am going to be sick. |

Hello, I have a technical question My friend, Mr. W. Shroeder, would like to have his physique judged. I have his picture but do not know how to upload t from my email. It is a wonderful picture, especially if you like pasty white asses on men who are flexing their muscles. NTTAWWT. |

OK, I thought I understood this This is wrong, right? The Yanks did not clinch, they just cemented the Red Sox not being able to clinch without a playoff. The Yanks, if they lose tomorrow (hahahaha) would then have not clinched and have to go to playoffs. Tell me Yahoo fucked up plase http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb |

If the Red Sox lose then the Sox play the Indians in a one-game playoff to see who goes to the postseason (provided Cleveland wins tomorrow = str8 does not wager on them.) Since Cleveland's offense looks like dog-meat at the moment, they still have a pretty good chance of making the postseason even if they drop tomorrow's game. But they would get the Wild Card with a win tomorrow, regardless of whether Cleveland wins tomorrow or not. And, if you paid attention to what happened last year, the Sox won the World Series as the Wild Card team. So, are you asking this because you want to see the Red Sox in or the Yankees out? Or is there some other independent reason known only to one of the Paigows? Fuck, my head hurts. |

ETA: ok, so this time I read the article and it appears that while I am right that if boston wins tomorrow, they will have the same record ast the yanks. But there is some twist (I watch too much reality tv) whereby the yanks get to clinch bc Cleveland lost and if cleveland won, they would not have? I dont get why the Cleveland stuation made the difference since they are in a different division. |
