I have not read the letters (and clearly from ltl/fb's response had misremembered some of the Pope; I will seek redemption and reread it). Are they published? I'll have to check Amazon.

Gee, I wonder how that Canadian paper found out about that.

I like it. I like that he knows that fighting with Rush isn't going to do anything positive and any apology he gets is empty. I also like that he calls the rest of ESPN on it. It was a bullshit comment, and someone should have called it a bullshit comment.
I thought he handled it very well. Although, since Rush only says those things because (i) he needs attention and (ii) it makes him rich, I would have preferred if Donovan had responded with, "Who is Rush Limbaugh." That would have really pissed him off.

I have that line on standby for when I meet Jerry Jones. I've been holding onto it for over 5 years now. Ever since my law school friends didn't know who he was when they met him at a Super Bowl party. Yes, they are chicks, and yes, he was surprised/offended. Priceless.

I missed your k. How did that happen? And why would JJ care if you don't know who Rush Limbaugh is?

(I believe Post #26492 may be it. Nice Work.)

The best variation was when Oscar Levant was introduced to Greta Garbo, and stammered, "I'm sorry, I didn't catch the name."

Levant rawked. "The only difference between the Democrats and the Republicans is that the Democrats allow the poor to be corrupt, too." How timeless!

Why in the hell would you be at a Super Bowl party if you didn't know who JJ is? Puhleeze.

Early on, ice, rest and ibuprofin. Later, add a little heat and massage.

If that doesn't work, don't ever exercise again. Works for me.

if you mean splints...
The treatment for shin splints is rest. Depending upon severity it is often necessary to completely stop running for a period of time. Generally this is done until day-to-day activities are pain free. When running is resumed – and this is where many injured runners make a mistake – it must be significantly different from the routine that lead to the injury. The concept of relative rest employs lengthening the interval between training as well as decreasing the volume and intensity of training. One can often substitute cross-training activities (e.g., bicycling) for running to help increase the interval between running days. There should be a graded and gradual increase in run training, keeping an eye out for the return of any shin splint symptoms.

But I've found that after that 3rd glass of wine, you'll hardly notice the pain.

wear your sunblock

I found out today I have treatable melanoma. If I had waited any longer to get this mole removed it would not be treatable. Just a PSA to wear your sunblock, stay out of the sun, and check your moles frequently. This is scary.

From what I can gather today, slathering them in mayo, then covering them with Mexican-made socks is the way to go...

You don't have to make a group, I'd be happy to create a private board available only to those who decide to get involved.

Just say the word and let me know the usernames.

Edited to say this offer is available for any LawTalkers related group.

If you want us to host a variety of boards for you it really isn't a big deal, as long as it doesn't get completely out of hand.

Understand Admins will always be able to see any board we create, but otherwise, I can limit access to whomever you like.
