Can I use my HP all in one printer/fax/scanner with the Mac? How well does Citrix work with a Mac? I know, I know, I could Google that myself, but I would like to hear first hand experience with those of you using Macs at home.

If you already have a monitor you want to use, why get a Mac? Seems to me getting an Apple is all about having an iMac.

But what do I know? Maybe you want a super duper powerful Mac Pro.

Either way, if your monitor and printer are relatively new, they should work with a Mac. (I don't see why any monitor wouldn't.)

Or Caribu Coffee for me. Maybe quite soon, in fact. Unless I manage to motivate myself to ride the Capital Crescent/Rock Creek loop.

Possibly 267th. The last place woman was 45 minutes. Second to last place was 43 minutes. Top women were about 17 or 18 minutes. The "fast" people you know who finished in 30 minutes would have finished in the lower half of women.

Sounds like that old pie eating contest where the prize is more pie.

Prolly any recent monitor will work with a mack laptop or mac mini.

The HP all-in-one will work if it's mac compatible.

Don't know about whether Cytrix works on macs but macs do run windows.

The mac operating system is far, far better than windows. I'm in the why didn't I switch sooner camp. Actually, I am the kind of guy who jerks off thinking of an imac.

But what am I supposed to do without both right and left clicks on the mouse?

I can't answer your Citrix ... questions

I run Citrix just fine on my Mac. But this question is for your IT group. They need to have the software at the firm that accomodates Macs for you to be able to work at a virtual desktop at home. The first time I tried to do it I had trouble (years ago), but IT sent me some email with an attachment that made it seamless from then on.

And speaking of Apple, my iPhone 4 is with IT and should be in my hands within the hour. So long, Blackberry.

iPad may well be in my fairly near future...

I was just instructed by my techno-guru to "buy an iPad, because if enough people get one then the IT-gestapo will have to relent."

I might do that, but only so I can feel like a 21st-century Rosa Parks.

He could always plug the monitor into the iMac and have a second screen. Two pornos at once. Quad penetration FTW!

Use any mouse apple has produced in the last five+ years that has a right click feature.

My approach has always been to stick with the PCs and buy more wine and scotch. Those priorities have worked well for me, and I see no point in changing them.

Approprp of Nothing, I recently have decided that scotch is very good on ice cream. I love summer.

I have a non-Apple (and much cheaper) mouse with the right click, works just fine. The right click is the one PC habit I can't give up.

Haven't had any luck with Citrix yet, but I can bring the work laptop home when needed.
