Ouch.

Ouch.

other than the resignation part, the path tracks Ty's tenure as PB mod pretty closely.

Lawyer wins case in SCOTUS, is so happy about it he forgets the rules of professional conduct prohibiting communications with represented party.

"Justice Hugo Black once wrote, “I was brought up to believe that Scotch whisky would need a tax preference to survive in competition with Kentucky bourbon.” Dep’t of Revenue v. James B. Beam Distilling Co., 377 U.S. 341, 348-49 (1964) (Black, J., dissenting). While there may be some truth to Justice Black’s statement that paints Kentucky bourbon as such an economic force that its competitors need government protection or preference to compete with it, it does not mean a Kentucky bourbon distiller may not also avail itself of our laws to protect its assets. This brings us to the question before us today: whether the bourbon producer Maker’s Mark Distillery, Inc.’s registered trademark consisting of its signature trade dress element—a red dripping wax seal—is due protection, in the form of an injunction, from a similar trade dress element on Casa Cuervo, S.A. de C.V.’s Reserva de la Familia tequila bottles. We hold that it is. The judgments of the district court in this trademark infringement case are AFFIRMED."

And I will celebrate tonight with a Maker's Mark Manhattan.

They should fire his sorry ass for lying. The spin is nauseating. Try this on instead: "My son was victimized by a minor property crime and I lost my perspective momentarily. I regret that I used my powers as a police chief to further my role as a father."

Your link was busted. Here's another story.

I don't understand how it could take 10 officers to use the tracking software and OT for 2 officers. And they still didn't find the phone.

Seems like one squad with the Dad's phone would be enough.

Weak. I have held depos in pizza places, worn t-shirts to depos and while I haven't had off-the-record ex parte conversations with parties about their lawyers, certainly have derided their lawyers on the record.

I've played games on my phone during deps, and I'm sure I've drawn penises.

I haven't played games but I have checked email and flights that's for sure when I have a particularly competent witness.

I haven't drawn penises but once or twice I have almost clicked on trash or history and almost shit my pants.

I start by making sketches of opposing counsel, then the sketches get more imagined. It can happen.

To summarize a cartoon my girlfriend and her mother thought was hilarious, involving Viagra and getting taller: lawyers are penises.
