Geez I hope you aren’t on the hook to send flowers to all your friends who die...

I run into those guys at rest stops sometimes when I'm driving up to New Mexico. They are universally nice to my dogs.

Usually I'd be getting really excited about going right now, but New Mexico has a mandatory 14 day quarantine* for anyone from out of state, and I've talked to locals who say that anyone with Texas plates get the stink-eye.

Hopefully I can go in October.

*Totally understandable, and I support, but it's also irritating as hell that we are still at this point.

I was in New Mexico very briefly last week, on my way from AZ to CO.

what does that mean? Like Ty drove through w/o incident. If you are planning on staying THEN you must stay in for 2 weeks?

Arizona has much worse numbers than New Mexico, but didn't put any restrictions on us. The resort was full of people escaping the heat in Phoenix, where there is a a lot of Covid-19, so we certainly kept our distance.

How do you know where/why of the other people if you kept your distance?

Not in Sedona. We were heading for a hut in the San Juan Mountains, where we hiked all week.

Two weeks or the duration of your trip, if that is shorter than two weeks.

That's a terrible drive. I drove from Odessa to Santa Fe once, for work. Prepped one client on a Saturday, left his house drove all the way to stay in Santa Fe to prep a separate one on a Sunday. Listened to basically farm radio on AM.

I know, but what does "quarantine" means to someone driving through? He has to stop for gas, and to eat, and to pee.
