Regardless, as a Chicagoan with NYC relatives, there really is no contest... Chicago is definitely the Second City in this battle. While some of our most notable buildings in height and architectural significance match up well with NYC's best, for sheer numbers, square mileage covered, and that impressive canyon effect you get in Midtown, NYC takes it. |

It's more likely that he was being characteristically sloppy. I further note that, while that's a pretty picture, the skyline pictured isn't one that anyone would see with any regularity. (I'm assuming that the vast majority of people leave off regular boating during at least a significant chunk of the 8-month winter.) |
