Fix It Again Tony. I will never get past that.

If you want to go up market a little, I got to save $1k yesterday on my next BMW lease by test driving a new BMW X1. It was very tossable.

Don't worry, Wonk. We've all got your back now.

Thanks to better living through chemistry, I'm an outlier.

Give it a test drive, but I get the feeling that you're going to enjoy the mini more than the fiat. I will leave out the snarky comments until you confirm or deny.

The thing that would tempt me to look at the Fiat is the fact that they are still priced the way the Minis were back when y'all were laughing at them. I got a Mini nicely decked out when they first came out for about 16,000. The same car now goes for close to $30K the last time I looked. You can still trick out a Fiat for under $20,000. Of Course, I would really hate to be hit by anything bigger than a middle schooler on a bike in one.

Hey Leas, what was that Paris restaurant that you recommended?

I am similarly situated. The Fiat is slightly smaller, and thus slightly more attractive to me vis-à-vis parking in San Francisco. But, beyond that, no. Uglier, less HP, and less confidence in its reliability.

Dude, you can get a Mini with whatever you want (Bluetooth, etc) for $21.5. Or $199 pretax a month.

I second Less's recommendation of that place.

Get the herring appetizer.

And make sure you save room for cheese. CHEESE.

I have been there, on Less's recommendation, and had a great meal. Wanted to tell some friends to go there....

I like the Miata in general. It's not a good car for me because it acts like one of those saucer things on snow, but I've driven them and been a passenger in a couple. I think they may be going for more these days, but if not, they would be a fun car for LA.

I didn't say it was a huge price difference. But when you are talking about a $15,000 car, an extra 5-6 grand is noticeable.
