This sounds like a classic case of incompatible expectations.

Have you all lost your damn minds?

Assuming you will spend Saturday night with your girlfriend is not taking her for granted. It's more like a standing date. If she wants to do something else, she should just say so. If it's not a standing date and he just hasn't made plans with her yet, maybe he doesn't fucking want to. Why the hell can't she call him and say, "Let's do something Saturday night?" Holy crap. As far as I can tell, she has done the exact same thing as he has to this point.

I am rather annoyed at the Chimney Sweep right now since he has failed to schedule a date with me for the weekend. I have multiple sets of plans and would prefer not to be dateless and would prefer to see him.

So . . .

How does one get the attention of a very busy lawyer to remind him we need to book something for this weekend before my dance card fills up?

a big retainer always gets me to answer the phone.

If she truly views it as "just dating" and doesn't really care whether she sees him this weekend, then fine, she can do nothing and reach whatever conclusions she wants about his level of interest.

But pretending like every upcoming weekend (which may or may not mean free time for him) is a test of whether he's interested after they have been dating for awhile is just silly.

And what does it mean to the fabric of this board that frickin' Adder makes the most sense when it comes to dating advice?

The proof is in the pudding, though.

Edited to say: Seriously? He already blows you off after a matter of weeks and you're not even having sex yet? This sounds like the weakest beginning to a potential relationship ever.

Not counting Adder and the paralegal, you're probably right.

Except the "LMA" because it makes me laugh every time I think it.

"LMA" makes me think you are dating LaMarcus Aldridge. Which is, I suppose, possible, him being a UT guy and all. And having recently signed a big contract. So, um, pm me the next time you visit him in Portland!

I think it means most of us have been paired up for awhile and haven't "dated" in a long time.
