This is ludicrous. It's like saying A-Rod should dive for a ball to the right side of the infield.

Amen to that. I've often wanted to bet big on the opposing team so it's more of a win-win proposition, though I know I'll probably never do it, as it's still disloyal. So I suffer instead. Have for 38+ seasons. But I'll always have The Play and Cal vs Duke in the NCAAs....

This too is ludicrous, because a national team goalie is good enough to know where the other players around the goal are. And he's certainly going to know the ball has been played 10 feet behind him.

no. you're saying a-rod should walk off the field because there's a guy at bat who usually hits to the right side.

Shush. Hank is on one of his macho-athlete rants, get out of the way, take out the popcorn and giggle with the rest of us. I get dibs on the couch with ABBA and bigboobed dtb.

No, I'm quite clearly not saying that. You're claiming I'm saying that to try to justify your ridiculous anti-Irish sentiments. The goalie was in a position that gave him zero chance to make a save on the ball unless it was totally mishit. The ball was in the goal by the time he threw his hands up.

But I'm happy for you to check back next time a grounder to second bounces off Cano's glove and ricochets to third base, but A-Rod is loafing so can't do anything about it.

Seeing as you missed the offside, I can understand that you missed his initial hand flail back towards the ball, followed by the pathetic hand gesture after he realized the ball was in the goal.

None taken, I agree. In fact I find it kind of effeminate for a guy to know that much about soccer, unless their kids are in AYSO or something. No judgments people, I just think soccer/baseball/golf/softball/volleyball fans are weak. My favorite sport is weaponized muay thai russian roulette, but you gotta get a special satellite for that.

No, just DVDs of the Pistons during the "Bad Boys" era.

I have lived in Chicago now for almost ten years. I have never watched her show. In fact, I've never flipped through the channels and stumbled across it, so it's not like I'm intentionally avoiding it. I don't know what channel it's on or at what time. I think I've only seen in it when other shows air clips of it.

I just looked on a map and discovered that Harpo Productions is only about 6 blocks from my office. I never knew it was there.

For many people, she barely exists. Of course, it's impossible to not be aware of her.

Yeah, that is how the game is played. We fake injuries like a bunch of flailing pussies, but generally a handball or other obvious foul is taken without much protest.

Was it not like this when you were in the game?
