Sorry, I'll correct the post.

[start sarcasm] Sure. That's what Maradona did. "The hand of God." [/end sarcasm]

Waitaminnit -- you're saying there was a 0% chance that Les Bleues would just surrender?

I bet if you trapped a ball in baseball or football the ref would overturn an 'out' or 'catch' call if the offending player owned up to it. There are probably a bunch of examples of when that might happen. It just doesn't.

Sorry. Like I said, I don't know soccer. Although I had a vague memory of him being accused of a hand ball, I had to look up whether or not he admitted it and gave up the goal.

He owned up to it 20 years later. And then proceeded to justify it on the ground he was too short to head it and besides, England were thieves for stealing the Falklands.

I may be paraphrasing.

Uh, read it again. They have to pay money out of their pocket for the right to not get a bonus. You want to make a capital contribution for the right to continue being a partner? You need to come up with 15% of your base pay. That's a lot of fucking money.

Espeically when you are a non-equity partner, which is an oxymoron. Are you buying-in for equity -- or just taking a 15% pay cut?

How is one a non-equity partner if one is required to contribute to the equity of the firm?

Admittedly, I have never understood how the non-equity parternship thing works, but this is particularly puzzling.
