Isn't it obvious by now that being the biggest asshole in a Republican primary guarantees you a certain percentage of the vote? While I don't think he will actually win, I suspect he will be among the last three standing.

cf Bernie?

Come on, if you're going to consume any air in the ongoing Republican hate-fest, you can't do oblique inferences here that some dude running thirty points behind Mr. Ashley Madison's wife might be a bit of a jerk here or there. You need to call him a Nazi, albeit a Jewish one.

I suspect he may draw as much support as he loses on the McCain attack. Remember, the folks who bolt from him because of this will be divided among fourteen other candidates, while the occasional hell-ya McCain hater he attracts will be all his.

I'm sorry. It was a rather oblique reference to the fact that the electorate is becoming more and more Hispanic. He won't be able to get himself elected head of sewer maintenance.

Well, that explains why the missus, Wanda, and Big Edna* kept laughing as a series of women kept walking in (with optimistic looks) and leaving (looking perplexed and disappointed) the Dew Drop Inn the other night.

*Big Ed's wife, whose real name is Michelle, but Fenwick could never say it or hear it without adding "... my belle," so Wanda called her that one night, and it stuck.

Protest vote for those who wish Elizabeth Warren was running.

And I would call him more of the Rand Paul of the Dems than the Donald Trump - they both attract a certain ideological set that wishes for more "pure" policies.

I am nothing if not cautious and discreet.

Bernie still manages to get elected in Vermont. Think about that for a minute before you dismiss his appeal to the general voter. Then take a look at his positions. I'm hoping to vote for him in the primary because Warren chose not to run. I'm not counting on it, though.

My sister went to his rally on Sunday (I was doing dog show stuff that day so I missed it). The UH basketball stadium was 3/4 full, and he talked for hours. No one left. Apparently he out drew Trump by about half the stadium.

He has a lot of things to say that nobody else is saying.

Rand Paul is the right analogy. You listen to both of them and alternate between, "exactly" and "oh my god no."

But were the Sanders crowd the best, most luxurious and most talented crowd who gave the biggest ovation? No, I did not think so.
