She's been circling the drain for so long, eventually she's going to go. But if she does this year, it only matters for the 2 people who didn't pick her. It's a tie for the rest of us.

I'm surprised more people didn't pick Etta James. I was afraid she wouldn't make it to the 1st. Now I suppose she's going to rally for a year and then she'll be the Zsa Zsa of next year!

You know, I spotted the assholes dying trend last year with Jobs and Qaddafi et al., and added Mugabe and Sharon to my list because of it, but I really should have stuck the child rapists and child rape facilitators in there. Is it too late to add Polanski?

CBS jumped the gun last night based on a tweet, the HuffPo picked it up, then CBS retracted when the family said "not yet." But he is, in fact, most sincerely dead as of this writing.

ETA Which is what I think you were trying to say. But I wanted to be clear that I got that point, dammit.
