Come to think of it, wouldn't that have been around 4th grade? Lord, groupies are precocious nowadays!

The commercial I like is for Southwest Airlines (I think) - anyway, it is the one with the "want to get away?" tagline.

It has the woman and man sitting next to each other and the man says something like "you know, I'm going to just come out and say it. I love you" and the woman says "well, I've always found you very attractive". And then you realize that the guy is talking on his cell phone and has an earpiece. funny.

sounds much less funny when described than when you are actually watching it.

The BIL comes through

I'm sure you all were anxiously awaiting the report on my shopping trip with the BIL this weekend. To my great shock and amazement, he came through like a trooper.

I told him we had picked out things in a variety of price ranges and started showing him them from the top. He gasped a little at the sapphire earrings so I moved to the next step down. When we got to the third level down, he got tired of looking and asked me which ones she liked best. I told him the sapphires. He ended up getting the sapphire earrings and a matching sapphire pendant. I was shocked; my sister is going to be speechless.

All this is more amazing given the latest bizarrely cheap story my sister told me. When they first bought their house, my BIL didn't want to pay for garbage service (a whomping $20/month). He thought they should burn their garbage in the fireplace and then take whatever else couldn't be recycled to throw in the trash at work. So my sister has to pay for garbage service out of her spending money.

He looked like a bad Justin Timberlake imitation and that look isn't pretty on Timberlake either. He gave me a pliffily insulted look when I wondered if there was some reason other than weather (it wasn't that cold out) for sporting that particular look. Naturally he got no play at the bar. He would have you believe it was because we were at a table far from the beautiful people, but we all know better. It was the hat!!!
LOok mom, I apprecaite your attempst at a Slave not so inside inside joke of the day that is not really funny, but as I have clearly posted before this awrd is limited to Slacve or one of his frat-boy mentors plus your joke is more just not funny (note to all: PLF jokes are so first half of 2003). Thanks for playing though. Back to my holidays.

Cheers! (and namaste to Bennie)

Ick. That's almost as bad a sneaking your garbage into the neighbor's can - which a former neighbor of mine used to do regularly until I busted them doing it. I always wondered why my can was more full in the morning than it had been the night before -

OK news flash we just had an earthquake.

Anyway, then these people would take their kids for a "walk" and carry bags of garbage to the new construction site and throw their garbage in the construction dumpsters. Not really the kind of example you want to set for your kids.

As if I would aspire to an inside joke title. I don't have enough material. If I'd meant this as an inside joke, I'd have been coy about it. I just wanted to explain to the class why PLF doesn't get any play despite being a trifle taller than Chef.

Now go away or I'll drop a house on you!

I asked my yoga instructor who I assume is Hindu (although did not verify) about the whole namaste issue this weekend. He said that it is a greeting, although it involves communing with the person who are saying it to. However, he said it is said at the end of class because that is when you are most relaxed and able to commune and so the communion is deeper. So he said it was more appropriate to do it at the end of class, rather than the beginning.

So if paigow feels a stronger communion with bilmore at the end of her post, rather than the beginning, it is probably appropriate for her to use it at the end.
