Anyone want to catch up over a beer? I'll be out on the road again hitting all the hot spots in Phoenix and NJ and rural Canada soon.

Woo-hoo?

I hear Adder would like to meet ladies for drinks.....especially important ones.

A World Cup observation I haven't heard anywhere else.

The only South American team to be knocked out so far (Chile) was knocked out by another South American team. The other four are all still alive.

I was surprised at the change from an A cup to a C. Makes me wonder why I waited so long.

Aberdeen, South Dakota. How does that rank?

You win.

After 20 trips you must have met at least one guy with a still in the woods. Or at least learned to check your bags and pack a bottle very carefully.

My dad, who did tech service when I was little, traveled a lot and he always had a bottle of bourbon or scotch in his suitcase.

Good on you. I do 3 miles in about 40 minutes and, if it's not too hot or too cold, I don't need to be rescued somewhere along the line. You work with what you got and don't worry about anyone else.

Do you fly direct or willfully ignore the sign on I-30 south explaining that Pulaski is the last wet county until Texas?

Until Spain beat Chile in the last game of the first round, no South American team had lost a game. And Chile didn't need to win that game while Spain did to comfortably get into the round of 16.

I'm thinking it will be an Argentina - Brazil final, but I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if it's a all South American semi-final. I think that Uruguay probably will beat Ghana, but I'm not sure if Paraguay will knock off Spain.

after little rock airport one of the early exits is "Scott Hamilton Drive" and once I see that all I can think about is if it's the skater and if it is how miserable his childhood must have been down there. I'm sensitive that way.

I did Bakersfield, CA monthly for two years. And one of my two NYC trips was a day trip. And I am a tax guy.
