I guess this is a long way of saying that I recommend that we curtail the hyperbole a bit for 2017. And now, it's the first Daily Dose of 2017! A sweet 1969 cut from Lee Dorsey called "Give It Up." After the gospel-like opening piano chords, you may think to yourself that the backing band is TOTALLY ripping off some Meters riffs. And you would be right if it were not for the fact that the backing band is The Meters.

Yes, let's TOTALLY curtail the hyperbole.

Anyone else reading the Springsteen memoir?

If Trump keeps creating so many jobs, there are going to be more than one for each of us, so some people are going to have to do two. Or there.

Wait until you see how many jobs are created building the wall. We're going to have to let in more Mexicans just to get it done.

I gave it to my mom for Christmas. I'm sure I'll get it back once she's done with it.

Good. Fuck Netanyahu. I'm sick of his bullshit. I hope he shows up to the inauguration and all the photos of him with Trump are tied around his neck forever. He needs to go.

Here's the thing, Netanyahu will be gone soon, likely under a very dark cloud. Who knows, when his prison time is up maybe he'll come back and join the Trump administration.

And whoever replaces him will likely be even worse.

Right now it's all just a holding action for a time when there is the ability to do something. Most likely, at that point, we'll be looking at a one state solution and talking about the extent to which Israel can limit Arab voting and participation and whether they can keep Gaza out of the state.

I was surrounded by Springsteen lovers in high school and never really got it then, and was tainted by the HS inundation ever since, so I avoided him to the extent possible.

This was me until a few years ago, when I finally got far enough away from the Springsteen lovers to start liking his stuff. There is that one co-worker, but you can get him to change gears to talk about hockey pretty quickly.

So you think the Flower sock has the capacity for personal growth? Are you a newber?

For flower to listen to Bruce S. you'd need to find a bar in Bushwick that only plays his music. Actually, it would heave to be in Bed-Stuy. Forgot it is 2017.
