Obviously it affects people differently but I'm pretty glad that I have no desire to take it unless I'm basically immobilized by pain.

The only time I've taken it it made me sick. I was at a deposition and was told I was green in the face. It was awful. I opted for the pain thereafter.

I thought the glassblowing at Bunratty was more interesting. I'm sure that had absolutely nothing to do with the number of pints consumed at Durty Nelly's* or the adorable Irishman explaining the process.

Interesting, I hadn't heard/read that. And that's also what happens when I rely exclusively on Wikipedia for information. The Wiki page says the tourist center closed permanently in January.

Question: Did someone stick a penis in your ass shortly after you took your profile photo? Nevermind. That's what happened.

Ireland sounds great. waterford is very nice crystal and it would be interesting to tour the facility.

I don't know if the Aran Islands are "unmissable," but they are certainly impressive. The ferry ride itself is fairly entertaining, especially if there's some weather. When you get there you can rent a bike at the dock and ride around the entire island (Inish Mor) in the course of day, with plenty of time to walk around the big ruined fort, the name of which I forget, that dangles over some incredibly high and sheer cliffs.

I had a great time just going around on the bike and stopping off various places. And there was plenty of time for a few beers before the last ferry in a pub that started out pretty much empty and all kinds of Irish Tourist Board, complete with two old guys speaking Irish, and then filled up in a matter of minutes with people watching Scotland play England in some soccer tournament or other and got all tense because the only English guys in the place sat down right by me and cheered every England goal, and there were a lot.

Never made it to any of the other islands, as Inish Mor was entirely rural and romantically desolate enough for me.

Boat trips involve high opportunity costs. And sharks.

Dún Aonghasa, aka Dun Aengus. Agree.

Almost no one goes to the other two. That might be a good reason not to, or the best reason to, go.

dissent! prattlers built this nation. Paul revere was known to spend hours showing strangers wood cuts of his wife and kids. Read Benfranklin's autobio- John Adams would go on and on about his aches and pains. And, if you ever read the records of the constitutional conventions you must know that the debate was peppered with John Hancock telling knock knock jokes.
