If I have a passive investment income from a real estate flip, don’t I get the 20% deduction under his tax structure?

The way he demeans women, has almost certainly engaged in significant sexual misconduct, and otherwise legitimizes misogynistic behavior? Um, no. I'm a dude, so no worries there for me. And I sure don't want to encourage those #metoo vigilantes.

The way he is a climate change denier and has appointed individuals (and taken actions himself) that will gut the environmental protections that could slow what appear to be increasingly dangerous consequences of global warming? Ha! My lip service to the environment is just that. I'll be dead before the most severe consequences come to pass.

You should get the words "Narrow Prick of Self Interest" tattooed across your chest.

I couldn’t vote for Trump even before he exposed himself as the psychopath that he is. I recall as soon as he entered the campaign posting an article from PJ O’Rourke savaging Trump as an idiot. There was never any time I would vote for him because I find him unfit not only for the presidency, but for most other things.

There is something unique about him that has made me dislike him for as long as he has been in the public sphere, which has been my entire life. He’s tacky. He’s like a gold plated strip mall developer.

Yep. I was right.

You have one reason to vote for him. All the other reasons go the other way, which I believe is the point both Ty and PLF were making (and which will evaporate as soon as you're done reading this).

It is not surprising that everyone has a price. What is surprising is how low some people's price is.

I said "there's every reason for me to vote for him" because, yes, that's a Freudian slip showing a not exactly admirable value system. (That I can be bought and view things somewhat transactionally.) "Every reason in the world" is also an expression.

But I also said I am still not voting for him. So even though it would make sense for me to vote for him to lock in a break, and I am buyable, a vote for that guy cannot be purchased from me. There's something about the guy - and it's more than what PLF cited - that has always irritated me. I never watched the Apprentice, I thought his casinos were fucking blights (the Taj might've been the ugliest building in AC, which some rarified air in that hellhole), his hair is a fucking disaster, his manner of speaking is supremely irritating... Fuck. I'll just go with Graydon Carter's assessment: He is a short fingered vulgarian. He is, in fact, the king of short fingered vulgarians. The man is a fucking mess.

Disregard.

Yes. It is an expression that means "all of the possible reasons that exist in this world support this decision -- there are no possible reasons for me to not [vote for Trump]."

FWIW, FTR, sebby has yet to actually vote for Trump.

I'm just reading what he wrote.

Why would anyone read what sebby wrote? I mean here. I’m sure he has written fine stuff elsewhere.

Jesus. Giving up money is a big deal. The point I was going for was I can’t even be convinced to vote for Trump for money.

But am I praying this thing gets done before 2021, so I get the break? Who wouldn’t?

That’s just mean. You know damn well I’ll hold to a contrarian position if for no other reason than to be alone and be able to say I did it. Voting against economic self interest is possibly the most contrarian bona fide out there. It may be self-contrarian.

I’ll stick to those guns. And if I can vote for Kerry, I think Warren is easy peasy.

Totally crazy, though, that Bolton seems to have been done in by telling the president not to invite the Taliban to Camp David during the week of 9/11.

The how of it, the perhaps randomness of it, pales in comparison to the rejoicing we should all do.

This made me check the current odds. I still don't understand why Andrew Yang is in the Top 5. https://www.sportsbettingdime.com/po...-nominee-odds/
