Buy new sheets. This is far worse than Barely's (?) guest room gaffe.

God, I hate Duke.

Either stop running up the score or hit him back.

What kind of cupcakes?

I can't believe you left that detail out, considering what you quoted.

And the thought counts. Yay cupcakes!

I may be wrong, but I believe we limited that competition to those "special" posters with 2 digit IQs. you're not eligible.

Is a HELOC the best way to finance this? I would like to pay it off very quickly.

I could probably finance part of it via a 0% interest credit card for 12 months.

I have had more cupcakes in the last four days than I had in the previous six months.

I was going to point out that this post makes you seem like a petty little jealous hater, but I think that is actually an improvement on the usual.

If you can really pay it off within 12 months, then take advantage of the 0% loan from the credit card. But understand that the reason they're offering that deal is that people are irrational and borrow money thinking that they will be able to pay it back sooner than they can. The credit-card issuer probably isn't going bankrupt anytime soon.

I got a good rate on a HELOC when I bought our house, but I've never used it, and so I've never shopped it against other rates.

Best way is to buy a kilo of coke and add a kilo of mannitol.

So you're asking if it is better to pay interest at a regular bank rate or at 0%, right?

Congratulations on the first post of the day!

So you apparently are one of the many people facing foreclosure after taking out a mortgage with a low, low rate.*

*Introductory rate may increase after one year, with no cap. See mortgage disclosure for details.
