With that new pill you won't have enough time to watch three movies in one night.

Apropos of nothing, I ran in Nike Frees for the first time on Saturday. Calves. Very. Sore.

race or trained? if you weigh more that 150 lbs. you don't want to run in them.

Just a quick 6-7 mile run. I actually really like them. I run in a very lightweight performance trainer (Mizuno Precision), so I don't think the transition was quite that bad for me. I am definitely over 150. The only thing I think you have to focus on is making sure you've got a forefoot strike when you wear them (which is why my calves are sore).

I had 2 margaritas in hurricane size glasses on Saturday. Blame it on Patron indeed! :o:o:o

I used to run in them, when I was less than 150. I liked them. I am a forefoot striker.

I just finished reading Born to Run, where there is lots of talk about barefoot running and how much running shoes are the devil.

I think I'd like to buy me a pair of Nike Frees.

I ran my half-marathon in the pouring rain on Sunday morning and my calves got very sore from lifting my heavy wet feet for 13.1 miles. Seriously. It's still kind of hard to go down stairs.

Overall, apart from being absolutely drenched and freezing after I stopped, the race went well. I'm going to do another one in the fall, I think.
