West Elm is right beside my gym so I was thinking of going there on Saturday. I have never been there but saw a catalog once and the stuff looked kind of up my alley. I will check it out.

ETA - thank you all for the bed suggestions. I feel a little less clueless now.

That wouldn't happen to be a picture of your bed, would it?

These are the shoes that are suggested...

They look a smidgey uncomfortable to party in.

Do you ever go to galas with the expectation that they're going to be a hell of a lot of fun?

I go to exactly two a year. I donate money to a variety of charitable causes, but usually the tickets for these things are a bit too dear for my wallet. The two I do go to are things that directly benefit my family, so I give more to them. I think I may skip one of them this year, as the ticket prices have gone up AGAIN and are not within the dtb household budget.

It's Wile E. Coyote. (Apparently, I'm a Loony Toons Timmy-ette.)

On a similar note, the name of "Johnny Cochran" guy from Seinfeld is Jackie CHILES -- it's not a mispronunciation of Jackie Childs. If you pay careful attention, in one episode, his office door can be seen, and his name is on it.

That has always bugged me...

If it is TM's bed, where are all the hot chicks hiding? Are they camera-shy?

Wait a minute - this is the same girl who recently made more money than she can count selling her second home? And was looking for aggressive tax advice to shelter her windfall?

I understand the attraction of leather and lots of displayed skin, but that particular outfit just looks stupid to me.

Actually, both the headboard and footboard can be equipped with very discreet eyehooks screwed into the back side for, um...., fun with silk and ropes.

I've never had to make any adjustments to the wrought iron.

But isn't it a pain sometimes to have to bend back into place?

In fact, it's "Wile E. Coyote, Genius" (according to his card).

When I am a torts professor, I shall use a clip of his antics for the final. Assault, battery, negligence, products liability, assumption of the risk -- you name it. Every doctrine dreamed up by Prosser in full color. Gotta love it.

"Acme, of course, could persuasively argue that Mr. Coyote's use of the rocket jet pack to propel him on roller skates, whcih resulted in his collision with the semi driven by the co-defendant, was not a forseeable mis-use of their product."
