And then you realize, she's looking at your kid, walking next to you, on his way to the child-watching area for an hour... while you run on the elliptical (because you wrecked your knee trying to jog with your wife, who smokes you).

Is anyone else shocked that Sebby has a kid?

Last time we got together, his wife was wondering how many more he had.

That's what happens when you randomly swing your dick at beer cans.

Because the past is just a goodbye.

Indeed. But, as his new LinkedIn profile picture shows, he's raging against the dying of the light. And horns - that kind of music ain't what he calls rock and roll.

And then you ogle an insanely cute girl for days at the gym, and then one day she DOES smile at you and you realize she is looking at your kid because she is in his class at college.

And the term "Lathamed" was not coined then, but decades before.

Liely because the author is under 30 and only recently got axed by Mayer Brown.

Is he still beating the indexes? (yes, "indices" - but come on)

I remember the phone call from the SEC the last time I traded on his suggestions:

Hello? Yes, I really did clean up on that trade, didnt I?

Who? Some lawyer I know on the Internet.*

Well, I don't really know him. Yeah, just his moniker.

You know, his Internet nickname. Right, like a "handle" from the CB radio days.

What was his handle? "Plated". Yeah, there's a story, but I haven't got enough time to explain it. Something to do with envy, let's just leave it at that.

That's right, "Plated's Picks." On the Greedy Associates ... no, not that one. That guy stole the name, and ... oh, never mind. (sighing) How much is the fine?

when he added the "d" was to me the single most powerful move I have even seen on the interweb.

I'm too much a newber though to know the root cause, envy?

If your kid starts dating a super-hot chick, is the initial response a feeling of pride in his accomplishment, or jealousy? I have to imagine it's a bit of both.

Ha! The worst investing mistake I ever made was buying Adelphia on Plated's advice. But hey, it was my first securities class action settlement!
