Ann Coulter lost it a long time ago.

As for Franken and Obama, while one may object to Obama on policy grounds, he presents his views in a balanced manner. Franken is too smug, more so than even Olberman. That makes for good tv, but it's pretty objectionable in a politician

I didn't really pay attention to Franken during the campaign, so I don't know if it was apparent then, but I wonder if (assuming Franken wins) he mellows a bit as an actual Senator. I agree that Franken's a smug little fucker, but I thought at least part of that was the point of his act as a comedian.

We must reduce the public debt, the arrogance of politicians, and the assistance to foreign lands, or we will bankrupt ourselves.

I'm not sure. I think its an act. Can you imagine if I could turn my Penske socks brand into books and TV appearances that made me millions? that would be the opposite of losing it.

While I think we all have trouble being objective about this still, the mantra was definitely "let's look at a ballot to make sure it should be counted" and that is exactly what the Supreme Court said was unconstitutional.

ETA: Of course I did forget the CDF qualifier, and the mantra from Gore only applied to the right counties.

a real GA knows the saddest part of this whole ugly affair. grunts for both sides had to look at every ballot to decide which ones could be challenged. what a job.

one of my first "discovery opportunities" was in a case where this established magazine is suing a new one for Trademark infringement. I spend 3 days looking through blow card subscriptions, looking for any that had checked "renewal" because a renewal was arguably a person who was confused, since the new magazine was too new for renewals. Also, I was supposed to "look for anything else strange."

I miss those simpler days.

He is a poor candidate. A half-decent candidate would have been able to wipe the floor with Coleman this year.

Yeah, although it seems that it was partner types who had to be there for the canvassing board hearings, which means they had to look at them too.

Thankfully, I never had to look for anything quite that mundane. ETA: Although I have looked through my fair share of documents (nature of the beast in my area). But as someone who is closer to those simpler days, I don't miss them all that much. There is something nice, though, about being the person who tells the who is accountable to the client what to think, especially when based on the labor of others. Although who am I kidding, I like it even better when the client asks me directly.
