I think they are very different, and Cruz the most dangerous.

I don't consider any of them crazy (well, Rand Paul maybe a little). I think that they appeal to crazy -- particularly Trump, who does so intentionally. But those are very different things.

The people I know who really, really love Trump* do not watch the "fawning media," or the "MSM" or whatever you care to call it now. And they don't pay much attention to Washington -- other than what they see on FOX and hear from Rush. And the responsible members of the GOP** utterly failed to shut that shit down, back when Trump was doing his birther schtick and FOX was comparing Obama to Hitler and so on and so on and so on. Fanning the flames of extremism got you here today.

Since you don't like Molly Ivins, I'll just say that the GOP's chickens have come home to roost.
