I wasn't freaked out because I have some fear of gay folks being sexual predators. I'm not homphobic. I do, however, have an intense fear of secret admirers and people who'd leave anonymous letters asking for dates. |

"Women who wear ugly Jones of NY suits and carry coach bags are not looking for attention from men"
Hope that doesn't include my Coach computer case since I know that has "do me" written all over it. |

On the bigger picture, though, I felt pretty good the night I went out with a group of folks (about half men/half women). One guy kept staring over at us. The women were convinced he was staring at one of them. I was convinced he was checking me out. Proved my take on the situation when I walked out 15 seconds ahead of the rest of the group, and his eyes followed me right out the door, leaving the women in the group cursing their defective gaydar. |
David Eggers, at it again?
Does anyone know anything about this?

PSA: whenever you quote someone's post it adds an extra "re:" to it. until we can get a fix for the issue, just delete the extras.

It is so Hard to be a Guy
Paigow - I agree with you that you shouldn't be stared out or whistled out if you are wearing normal clothing. But you have to admit that there are women who wear outfits purposefully to get that reaction from men. I just think if they see a women who isn't dressed in one of those tits-hanging-out-everywhere kind of outfits, the men should realize that the catcalls and stares aren't appreciated.
For those of you who think what I have said is anti-feminist, or is otherwise a blame-the-victim mentality, I offer you this link to one of those women. SPEE- Naked pictures of some of the ugliest 20 year old breasts I have ever seen in my life. In addition, naked female asses. This is one of the most pathological woman I have ever had the unfortunate experience of reading about: Patholgical Attention Seeking Woman's Website With Tits Like This, Can You Blame Her For Wanting Implants? Another Plastic Surgery Procedure She Wants To Undergo to Get Male Attention Below is a quote from her website for those of you who can't view nudes at work. With women like her walking this earth, do you blame men for getting confused about all this? Quote:

I am robustpuppy, don't abuse me for anon abuse
For some reason I cannot login as myself. I think my office PC does not agree with setting changes I made on my home PC.
Anyhew, over time I expect that we'll develop some new board etiquette rules specific to this new very awesome board. May I start with a request that we refrain from quoting posts in their entirety unless it's absolutely necessary? Especially when the post is verbose or obnoxious. In all cases it aggravates my carpal tunnel, and in some cases it defeats the ignore function. (Not you Sebby, you hep cat.) And is everybody convinced that JFF is a man? robustpuppy |
"But what of those of us who have such astonishingly perfect bodies for our ages, particularly our perky breasts and butt, that no matter what we wear we get comments? Is this just the price we pay for beauty?"
Well, that always been my experience. I just try to live with it. |
