I am considering beginning to claim that i worked as a legislative aide for a prominent Senator for 4 years.

Uh-huh. You typed "Osama" instead of "Obama". Because, on your keyboard, the "S" is right next to the "B".

You posted a picture of Obama with a turban and a beard, instead of an "elect Obama" button. An incredible, remarkable coincidence that of all the images you might have mistakenly grabbed -- in a post where you also had typed "Osama" instead of "Obama" into the title -- you grabbed that one.

Ty asked if you felt shame. His post reprinted the title, and the image. You responded. No shame, no apology, no claim of mistake.

Eventually, you got embarassed. So, instead of saying that you posted because you thought it was funny, and you realize now that it wasn't (i.e., the truth -- except maybe the realization part), you said it was one great big gigantic typo-whoopsy.

I do make mistakes. But I'm not dumb enough to buy that load.
FWIW, I have not forgiven Penske for posting this stuff, even if inadvertent. But I especially blame Ty for his reposting of the slur. Can you justify why Ty would repost something when in the very repost he recognize the offensive nature?

2. Given my taint I didn't want to be the one to bring that up, but it is disturbingly hypocratical.

In the spirit of Penske-like bipartisanship, I agree completely with this post.

Well Sidd, while I know you have come around to give an apology, however sincere that may be, but just to accentuate the point of how easy a mistake it is to confuse Osama bin Laden with Barack Hussien Obama, I give you Ted Kennedy from a speech last week:

Why don't we just ask Osama bin -- Osama Obama -- Obama what -- since he won by such a big amount. Seriously, Senator Obama is really unique and special.

I suppose he gets a pass on the drunk thing, yes?

Yes -- the drunk thing, the fact that he didn't also have a giant blow up of Obama in a turban and a beard (unlike some raci... er, poor typists I could identify), and that he doesn't have a long history of posting such images.

Well, that

I'm not sure I fully understand your point, but Ty did apologize for posting that stuff.

As usual, you show you can't get by your bias and hate. You give your little liberal CNN (twice), Yahoo, and Killer/sexual harasser Ted Kennedy pals a pass when their "mistakes" are in forii which have a great deal of affect and influence on tens if not hundreds of millions of people, and yet hold me to some higher standard when my mistake occured on a website, which is read in a good month by maybe 50 people of no consequence in the political or social cultre of America (except Spanky) and where I published an apology.

You wouldn't know anti-biased bi-partisnship if it crawled up your arse and pushed your head back out, which is probably why you think there is some racist intent or effect to my error prone post and yet don't see the racism that the Dems inflict on people of colour on a daily basis via the public schools or police departmentrs in most Demo controlled city. Of course, you don't send your kids to public school, so the politicians and policies of racism you support with your vote don't really affect you.

I have no idea what you mean. Sure, I started to say "racist", but I corrected myself very quickly. Much more quickly than you caught your error. Errors. And without even the benefit of seeing, and responding to, a post from Ty that made the error evident.

I would never suggest that someone who found, saved to his computer, and then posted to the Internet a picture of Barrack Obama, with a beard and turban so he looked like bin Laden, under a post titled "Where's Osama?", could possibly be a racist.

Just accident prone. A little clumsy with the computer. At worst, ever-so-slightly Freudian. I'm certain of that, really.

So, really -- turn the bile down. You made an honest mistake. Or two. We all believe you, really.

I remember when I worked as a Senate aide for Senator X, on 2 occasions we sent a proposed bill to print and distribution with far worse typos than what Penske did here. I'm just saying it can happen innocently. And Senator X is a Democrat.

Maybe if you gave an express apology I would believe you.
