Sorry. Apparently you are the only curious onlooker. Please push next two or three times from the Angelina page to see Bjork. Thank you.

So I guess drawing conclusions from observations is just reprehensible to you.
Didn't use the word reprehensible either.

I'm in basic agreement with mmm on this issue. I've had to have surgery, and to me it just seems astonishing to be willing to undergo it voluntarily without some underlying medical problem. It has risks. People have died from complications from lipo. Was it worth it just so they could be cremated with a smaller ass?

I'm not saying every woman who has cosmetic plastic surgery is a self-hating misogynist. I am saying that it's no coincidence that 85% of the people getting it are still women.

Fearing that this was the case, I was reluctant to even mention it. But I spoke up out of a sense of brother- and sister-hood with all of the silent, electronic, Bjork-curious lurkers out there.

I do however have a problem with how you chose to characterize the majority of women who get them. Strippers and prostitutes? I don't know about you, but if I had a mom who had breast cancer and she got breast implants to make herself feel better after she had to have a breast removed, I'd be pretty damned offended at that characterization. And of course you didn't mean women like that should be compared to strippers and prostitutes. TM was absolutely right, the problem isn't your opinion, it is the extremes in which you speak/spoke when expressing it.

And right back at ya.
Can anyone speak in general terms anymore w/out someone pointing out the obvious exception(s)?

My answer: not on a board composed of lawyers.

I'm pro TITS, but I think the majority of breast enlargement procedures are the equivalent of the dorky guy buying a Porsche...

Did not know I had to spell out that you thought his post was reprehensible to you bc it triggered you to respond by vitriolic namecalling. I thought the inference was clear. Guess not.

One of the 9 million articles that I have posted in the past stated that it was fast approaching 50% for men and cosmetic surgery.

I would cite, but that would cause the piling onning.

No, it wouldn't. It might, in fact, help move your posts into the "mundane but helpful" category. You know, like fringey's.

Curiosity killed the cat. Or whatever it was that this was made out of.

I think the statistics vary widely on this from study to study so perhaps there's no way to be sure. But anecdotally, I've never seen a high school boy with black eyes and tape on his nose unless he's been in a fist-fight. And I see a lot more women who suddenly look 'younger', 'rested', and 'like they've been really exercising' after a week of being 'out with the flu' than men.

Luckily Jerry Jones is trying to single-handedly revise this ratio. While at the same time prompting us all to wonder exactly which planet he calls home.

Oh I get what you are saying, you didn't need to spell it out. The problem is you are just reading too much into my post.

And I will now ask everyone's forgiveness for what is going to be an incredibly boring post.

Ok, so if you are looking, you are interested in a very boring post. Here we go.

What did leagleaze mean when she called mmmmmmmmmm a presumptive asshole?

Presumptive:

He was presumptive, that one is easy. Regardless of whether we agree to the appropriateness of the presumption or not, we can all agree he made a presumptive statement, right?

Asshole:

I was playing on him calling himself a name, e.g. paternalistic. Normally I just would have told him he was presumptive and left out the asshole. You are right, I don't normally call people names, and so it would make sense you thought I meant something more serious, alas, I didn't. I don't really think he is an asshole, nor did I find what he said particularly reprehensible or horrible.

I wish it had some deeper meaning, but it really doesn't.
