I like this article:

I think he's wrong about how successful they will be. He talks about the lack of quality role players they will have and how that will make them a sub-50 win team who won't win a championship. That's crazy. Almost everyone in the NBA can hit an open 15 footer. And the other two guys on the floor with these three All Stars will be shooting nothing but open jumpers and pulling down a bunch of rebounds since their guy will be doubling someone else every single minute of the game. They don't really need a point guard because during the first three quarters, the point guard will only be bringing the ball up the floor and during the final 5 minutes of any close game, he won't touch the ball at all. Sure there will be times when someone is injured or a couple of them need a breather during which the Heat will look like a CBA team, but you can't match up with them when all three are on the floor. Impossible.
If they all end up on the same team, it will be pretty fun to watch, but I don't think it will be good for basketball. Wade and Lebron need to be on different teams and they should be battling each other for rings and talking trash and building rivalries.
My Boston buddy had it right. Would Jordan do something like this? No fucking way. He'd intentionally
not sign with the Heat and would drop 50 points on Wade's and Bosh's heads in Miami every time he came into town. Lebron and Wade will be morphed into LeDwayne or LeWade and Bosh will be shoved to the side in people's memories. They may love to play together, but I think this is a mistake. Lebron should be looking for balance. Instead, the Heat will have a team with two Jordan wannabes. Take it from the Yankees. You can't win a championship when you have 4 clean up hitters hitting in a row.
And yes, I am disappointed.

eta: If Lebron signs with the Heat, you know what this is like? It's like when you're playing pickup and for some weird reason a monster team forms to get next. The two best scorers, best rebounder and two other big guys who can play. They want to run the court for as long as possible, sure. But inevitably the best guys says, "This is silly, I'll go on the other squad and you pick up Hank to make it more fair." And then that guy tries his best to destroy the monster team and everyone on his team kills themselves to make it happen. But every once in awhile, you get that group of jackasses on a monster team that only cares about staying on the court. Do they earn respect because they run the court? Nah. Not really. They just end up annoying people.
