You may be thinking of a couple who are non-coastal. But wouldn't a little book of certificates from Denny's work for most such people?

I hope you have forgotten this moment by the time you ask for a Chicago restaurant recommendation.

You know, I'm sure there are Denny's around somewhere here (as there are in all cities), but I have no idea where.

Here, here, or here, however, would be great. Especially as I know where each of them is!

I usually just eat whatever they have at the United Club when I'm in Chicago.

A damn shame. I haven't found a diner in Manhattan that is as consistently good at breakfast as Denny's. (And, no, brunch is not breakfast, NTTAWWT.)

Oh, and seen in the security line at 500 Pearl a couple of days ago -- a smoking hot Indian attorney in a grey skirt suit with a purple shirt. Oy.

Sadly she was not one of the 900 lawyers attending the status conference in my case. Nothing but old white dudes as far as the eye could see.

Now you made me go and look, and, alas, there does seem to be one in Minneapolis proper, over on East Lake Street. I'm going to console myself by declaring that to be almost St. Paul.
