Absolutely. Why shouldn't we trust an INTERNAL REPORT?

"Rahm: one, maybe two calls. So what?"

How many does it take?

I don't think people have been questioning Obama since about day 2. It's Rahm. He did have conversations.

Unless the first one is "hi, why are you calling? . . . I'll get back to you" and the second is "no fuckin' way", there's a problem.

Kennedy declines to make financial disclosure

So much for the new transparency. Way to go Demos!

Urban gridlock

Seattle refuses to use salt; roads "ice packed" and impassable by design.......that leaves many drivers, including Seattle police, pretty much on their own until nature does to the snow what the sand can't: melt it.

So much for efficient responsive goverment administration. Way to go Demos!

Fight For Obama Pork

Mayors country wide are preparing to fight for Obama pork/stimulus. http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/12/...ork/index.html

It is probably more efficient to pay people to dig holes and fill them up than do some of these projects. What use is a 4.8 million dollar polar bear exhibit? Sounds as useful as burning money, which is a crime.

As observed on Fox News, according to Charlse Krauthammer, yes. According to Michael Barone, no. Apparently the latter is not afraid of being exposed as a total hack, or he really thinks it is important to know why the administration elect put forth several names and specifically why Rahm may have wanted to push Jarret (the implication is we should care if Rahm didn't want her in the White House).

What?? You must be joking. Couldn't the first be, "Hey, here are some people we like for the gig, but it's up to you" and the second, "yeah, maybe you want to think about this other guy too."

Those conversations are both (1) likely, and (2) don't present any issues.

ETA: Craig would have to be moron to issue a cover up report, especially when they have an easy excuse not to say anything (we don't want to interfere with the ongoing prosecution). Of course, he would hardly be the first such moron. But the report says Rahm doesn't recall any conversations with anyone about a personaly benefit for Blago.

Before we did. And why does it matter?

Imagine it was W we were talking about and extrapolate your answer.

Rahm's from Chicago. He knows very well that either of those statements is the equivalent of a solicitation of bids.
