but I just read in a people magazine (I know, I know) that TBS will be having a new reality show where men are made to cross dress and enter a beauty pageant. Good stuff.

Indeed. My Friday night karaoke alter-ego, Velvet LaPlush, won "Best Legs" at the Dew Drop Inn's annual beauty pageant. Victory is a wonderful thing.

Celebrity Smokers

Someone with way too much time on her hands has compiled a huge database of all female celebrity smokers. She's compiled whether they smoke on film, in real life, if they've tried to quit, and whether it has been mentioned in the press.

Sort of like shifter's A-list, but excrutiatingly boring. Although the Courtney Love listing is kind of gossip-bitchy:

Not sure how I stumbled into this, but who compiles these databases? There is probably one out there that compiles the toenail clipping habits of male celebrities between the ages of 45-70.

Uh, my guess is people with a fetish for smoking chicks (as opposed to "smokin' chicks") may have done so.

Only if there is a fetish for such a habit.

The message on the shirt that drew the negative reaction read: "Hey Red Sox ... Who's your daddy?"'

I saw an ad for that on TV last night. Funny stuff...

Pussies indeed. They ought to come to Center City Philadelphia every time the Cowboys come to town. On most street corners, you can find a guy selling t-shirts that bear a simple and eloquent message: "Fuck Dallas".

Probably the NFL doesn't sanction that t-shirt. It would be cool it it did though.

I have to think that MLB pulled the t-shirt because they thought (on second thought) that there was something improperly sexual about it, and because they are a bunch of stuffed shirts, not because Boston fans complained. If the complaints were the real reason, then both MLB and the complaining Boston fans are the pussies.

Reminds me more of Kenneth Brannaugh (or however you spell that) gone to seed.

I tried to make it my avatar last night, but, alas, the technology failed me.

Don't really disagree with the sentiment about Boston fans moaning and bitching about this, but I do admit to being surprised that it was a sanctioned image by MLB.

Usually, I'd expect this to be the domain of the knock-off crowd outside the stadium.

Like I said earlier, this is not surprising. I fully expect a "pacifier night" at Yankee Stadium before this is over.

And Slave, it's probably for the best that the avatar resizing didn't work. We don't want you to out yourself, and we know you're gonna be wearing that fuckin' shirt for the next 10 days.

I fear this could back-fire in the long run.

What would Fenway be without 25 creative varieties of "Yankees Suck" t-shirts on Yawkee Way?
