Odd. You didn't seem to find it at all disturbing last week when I said it was the current policy and plans were being implemented to institutionalize the murder.

Actually, Dresden was no Jericho:

Quote:

So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the awall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword.
When the Israelites were done, only one harlot survived. And, lest we forget, they dried up the rivers of Jordan first, just to invoke terror. Part of the reason the Israelites killed off whole cities and everyone in them as they conquered Jordan was to invoke a good healthy fear of the Lord.

Not much of a qualitative difference in what happened in Dresden.

I told you. He's institutionalizing murder.

I said last week that much of it is bad policy. I'm just not sure that it's illegal.

I'm pretty sure TV news makes you dumber.

A Republican operative and asshole spent last night posting false information about the storm on Twitter.

eta: Awesome thoughts from a Brown University student at the 0:30 mark here.

We're all at heart, emotionally, Democrats. Then you realize, their math is almost as bad as the GOP's. Given that, the next rational considerations are: 1. Who'll help me more?, and 2. If I must support the fiscally insane, why not pick the more realistic (in law of nature terms)?

If they're all full of shit, and they are in all aspects that matter, how can anyone vote any issue beyond taxes/jobs/economy?

Why would I vote Romney? Wrong question. Give me a pragmatic reason not to.

the main reason to hope Obama wins is that if Romney wins, for the next 8 years Ty will post a scandal that should result in Romney being impeached and/or imprisoned every day. I cannot handle it, I mean there is a part of me that hopes he will mature and realize that Obama went beyond 80% of what he complained about re W, but let's be real, Ty ain't growing. I cannot spending the next years reading all that.

Positive note for Republicans? No national candidates talked about rape this week. So far. Something to build on.

Apple TV. Buy one. You'll watch endless Family Guys, and specials about megalodon sharks... And it'll make you feel 100x smarter than you'd have been watching cable news.

(I still watch Morning Joe. Scarborough's moderate [his Clinton impeachment vote aside] and Mika's a smart, spicy little number.)

Point taken. However, you cannot call Missouri "national." it is, if I look at my map correctly, the dead center of the nation's large intestine. Which might be giving it an unwarranted compliment.

These guys want to denigrate Romney, but what they ignore is the polls show the glee they feel is not really translating to the voters. Are they in denial or ignorant, or both?
